Zoop Boing! It's Page 26! Remarkable done all in one day (I've been working on it since about noon today). Remember that little poll of mine about possibly posting up some of my Bromic Port practice sketches? Well, the first sketch I did turned into Page 26. It's short and simple with no dialogue whatsoever.So what do you think? The bottom panel was kinda experimental. I've never done an aerial panel like that were the perspective demands for everyone to be small due to distance.
Now on to Page 27. You can expect the future pages of Chapter 2 of Bromic Port to have as much detail as this page. Sometime soon, Cover #2 will be popping up. Can't say when exactly but it may be here by the end of Part 2.

Thanks, it was my first attempt at trying to draw a large scale town scene. I was pretty worried about how it was going to turn out but I'm happy with it though I wish I had my micron pens though back then.

I really like this page. You make an impressive effort with your backgrounds which is what a lot of comic artist tend to neglect. There have been some anatomy and perspective issues throughout, but that's the kind of thing that will sort itself out with practice. If you want to improve more rapidly however, you could try the good old fashioned drudgery of drawing from life. It sucks, but it really does help a lot
Anyway, neat comic. I will continue onward =3

That's alright
The backgrounds sometimes take forever to do but I've grown to like doing them though the repetitiveness of some environments makes me want to rush things, it can be a bit hard to resist sometimes and just go with the flow.
I haven't drawn anything from life in ages, used to a little years ago but that didn't last long. I probably should go out with my clipboard and try that again sometime, it certainly helped the last time I did back when I was still in school.

They already are. They take so much time and detail but I love doing them. After doing beach scenes for a year, city scenes are a much welcome change. And soon the scene will be changing to the inside of a tavern

At long last! It's hard to believe it took me 11 months just to get to the town. And I honestly thought at the beginning it would only take a week or two with a month at most.

um the colours of the stands (those "cloth roofs") don't match on the panels.
About anything else, pretty cool looking drawing.

There not supposed to since the stands are different in both of the panels. If you use the tower structure as a perspective point and judge Rune and Dalken's positioning based on it, their position changes due to their walking. They are several building further down the street in the second panel than the first and the stands from the first panel are out of view range from the aerial view in the second panel. If I were to make the second panel a lot bigger than what the paper allows, you'd definitely see them and it would match up.

okay, first of all, i love how you've portrayed the town so well! it looks so full of life, from the shady guy in the first panel, to the downright awesome perspective change showing everyone going about their merry way! the detail is astounding!

I'm going to try to keep this level up detail up for the rest of the chapter (might even be working on Page 27 later today). It's going to be difficult but worthwhile in the end. It is a pleasant change of environment from the beach scenes I've been having to do for almost a year now.
Professor Awesome is already going crazy trying to plan out the next page with everything that is going on in the port town.

Definitely more time consuming but already more gratifying by far. I got every intention to continue the detail with the coming pages (including Page 27 later this week if I can get back to Professor Awesome's house again soon).
Rune and Dalken are definitely going to get mixed up in some of the craziness (more Dalken than Rune). It will all start with Part 3 but luckily that won't be too far off.

I see you noticed a tavern sign. Not the particular tavern Dalken and Rune are going to but one with plenty of food and drink just the same. With enough convincing, I'm sure they would accept Mace Points

Im glad to hear that bromic port has many dining spots to chose from.
Are they gonna have some drinks and apps first ? Where are the go-go bars in town ?
We have some bars on the lake here that you can boat to, hehe.

Rune and Dalken will be getting a bit to eat and drink later on in the chapter (Part 3 to be specific)
There are no "official" go-go bars in Bromic Port. Most of the bars there don't currently employ regular entertainment openly (it hasn't quite caught on yet in Bromic Port) but that can be changed depending on how much money you have. You may find a barmaid or a prostitute around town who would be willing to do a little show (and probably more) for some coin and most barkeeps would allow it.

There is a good likelyhood that he will do a cameo sometime in the future but I have no idea when. It will probably be a while and when you least expect it.
