Description
my soul will be free.----------------------------------------------------------
My first sumi-e of a person. Painted a few years ago for a silent auction, once it was entered I missed it so much that I bought it back for $35. Several people were angry that I bought it. Oh well.

thank you
Non-artists don't always get that an artist can paint the same painting a thousand times, and every single one will be different. Something I was once told was that it is the mistakes that make a painting original, it adds character and style. They were talking about traditional art vs the flawlessness of digital art, but it still applies. I once had a person offer me $100 for my lady in the mirror painting, to which I told them that I wouldn't sell it since it's sentimental. When they asked how much would it take for me to sell it, I instantly replied $1000. Hey, it worked once when I raced ponies. ( my family bought a pony for 400 or 500 and a few years later people asked how much I'd sell it for. Of course I had no concept of money, but the pony still sold for $2000.) Eh... I'm rambling.
