oh! i like this one more than the other, but i see you have the same trouble with grey tones. try to saturate some parts of the chick and avoid the pure black. Never use it , instead of black use Dark blues for shadows and dark reds and purples for fleshtones.
hope this will help, anyway is a very good example what MyPaint can do in artistΒ΄s hands.

It is the same one only with different background I still haven't got the time to correct it.
Until two years ago I only drew portrait with graphite pencils so colors are still bit new to me. Thanks for advice I'll definitely try to use it.
