I'm such a brony it's insane. :3
Well Jet and Rainbow do have personalities that are exactly alike and have a lot in common with each other, except I don't think RD grew up as a hood in the Bronx, though she did rumble in a tough crowd as a filly. XD
I may have made her tail a little long, but hey she's a pony that can break through the sound barrier, so the longer the better!
Btw I think I might have screwed up on drawing Fran a little, since I didn't have enough space on my pen paper pad. I drew her too short and petite!

Bronies are people (not just men!) who were outside the MLP demographic (from before) who like the series now.

xD This brings all sorts of things to mind... like the episode where Rainbow chose a pet. Looks like the pet chose you in this case, RD!
This also makes me think of their tempers, and how these two would go off on each other at the drop of a hat. Explosions, explosions everywhere. xD It'd be fun to see Jet or Joe using acceleration mode to race her though.
...I'm thinking about this too much.

Hahaha, that's why they would make good racing buddies--they would be in competition with each other all the time. xD Now if only Joe learned how to fly then it would be pretty interesting. Good thing Dash has a friction-resistant coat or otherwise she's be torn from flying at ridiculous mach 1+ speeds.

And you're right, Jet and RD ARE so alike. They're both fliers and hotheads, so they'd make really good friends. Though I doubt Jet would call someone cute.
I don't think you ruined Frannie. I think she looks like she should, and she's a girl, she's supposed to be bit shorter and petite.
