Wewt! First art of 2012!

A little request asked by . She wanted a pic of Cathy teaching Jet how to make an apple pie (or Chang chasing Jet outta the kitchen with a wok).

I don't normally do requests (not because I don't have time, but because when I try putting the effort into drawing them they always look so half-assed), but this was something that I was MORE than interested in doing. C:

This idea was stemmed from a conversation that I was having with her and , and we were discussing what would happen if someone tried teaching Jet how to cook and how the results would come out...and I just HAD to find that out. CX

I dunno about the Chang idea, so I decided to kinda mesh those two ideas together. Figuring that if a man can't teach Jet, he might as well from a sweet woman like Cathy, that is if she can fathom his ability to bake.

Miss Rosefire also wanted a sketch of the pic, so here it is!

One of the biggest challenges I had to face with doing this pic was trying to figure out a subtle kitchen background and also having to add all the ingredients on the counter. I tried taking some of the ingredients out because at first I thought they made the pic too distracting, but when I did I got that "something's missing" feeling, so I left them all in and put alot of focus in the aftermath of Jet's pie-baking skills. XD

I've always wanted to see Jet covered in soot (and flour!), but too bad his clothes had to suffer the damages in the process.

Oh that poor toque blanc, it has seen better days!

[EDIT] Tweaked the perspective on the counter back there cuz it REALLY bugged me how it wasn't even. Plus I also added a few more smoke/burn marks on Jet.
