Oh wow, I have been meaning to submit more Legend of Zelda fanart for a long time, especially Twilight Princess fanart. It's about time I did so. C:But yeah, I'm a ridiculously HUGE LoZ junkie. I actually have more merchandise in the LoZ catagory than most other anime swag I got.
Link sitting by the lake in his Zora Armor and gazing out with Navi by his side. Not the most dynamic pic of Link I did, but I just started scribbling this down in Sai and thought "this actually looks pretty good for a perspective pic" so I printed it out and went over in pencils and scanned it back in.
I've always wanted to draw Zora Link for a long time, so I thought him being by the lakeside would be a good excuse to!
Btw there's several things I left out of the pic, such as the cannon tower, the walkways, and the island where you land with the Cuccoos on. They just seemed so out of place for when it comes to drawing something so relaxing and pretty. I'll keep the bridge since I like how it reflects the sunlight and keeps the eye moving around the picture.
And Link's legs? They're stretched out, but you can't see them because the log and the grass is obscuring them.

Ooh, I really like the way this came out. You definitely got the details on the Zora Armor and the Hylian Shield perfect. The rest of the piece is very clean and simple -- I think if you'd added in the cannon tower and so on, the background would look too cluttered, y'know? Great job on choosing and blending colors also.

Heehe thanks, it was more a game called "screwing around with saturation on Photoshop". The rest was figuring out what colors were effective enough to make the eye move around the picture.
Well whenever you do decide to draw more Link, I'd sure love to see.

oh heck yea! I love a lot of them, OoT, WW, and my first Zelda game, Link's Awakening.
oh yes, saturation is an amazing tool in PS.

Dude I love OoT! Although the ReDeads effin' scare me in that game, so much that I had to get the Biggeron's sword (that loooong sidequest as Adult Link) before getting the Sun Song---I'm like that afraid of them.
Link's Awakening (the GBC version) is also really awesome, I've beaten it on my PSP once (I have the rom for it--but it's glitched so I can't lose any health in that game, so I wound up getting the secret ending). XD

A friend of mine egged me to play Link's Awakening (it's also his fave Zelda game).
Link to the Past is also pretty amazing (I have it on Virtual Console), and I like it because it has the most dungeons in any Zelda game. ;>

I realized mountains aren't my strongest painting forte. I tried to make them look exactly like the ones in the game too. I was actually playing the game while painting this to get the right textures and shape. CX
