Description

Myarus III is the third planet in the Myarus system, and the homeworld of the Myarian species, from my fanfiction. As mentioned before, all the planets in this system are, unusually, class-M. The Myarians themselves are a brow-ridged humanoid species that essentially resemble Romulans but with human ears. Although the Myarians' first encounter with humanity occurred in 2155, when one of their vessels was encountered by the UES Enterprise, under the command of Capt. Jonathan Archer, they largely managed to stay out of the Federation's way until 2389, when they attempted to attack space station Deep Space 9 but were quickly repelled by a Federation fleet. Nevertheless, Starfleet, as a precautionary measure, began development of a new class of heavily armed spacecraft known as the Arcturus-class should their new adversaries return with better weapons. By 2422, the Myarians had indeed returned with a vengeance, having taken the time to upgrade their fleet, and attacked the Federation colony on Al Niyat II, resulting in more than 20,000 deaths and the destruction of six Federation vessels. Twenty-two years later, the Myarians joined the Dominion, Yudarians, and a renegade Klingon faction against the Federation and its allies in the Second Dominion War. However, a series of military disasters, combined with the overthrow of the planet's autocratic government soon turned the tides against the Myarians and their allies, resulting in a humiliating defeat and the Remus Peace Conference. The now-crippled Myarians eventually decided to make peace with the Federation and asked their former enemies for aid. It is hoped that the peace between the two will last for years to come.
