In the not too far-off future, mankind creates his own apocalypse. Massive radiation and dust clouds, with higher rates of oxidation around the globe turn the Earth into a crumbling world of half creatures.

Stalkers are nothing like their origins. Stalkers are only faintly reminiscent of their Spectral Bat ancestors. And whereas Spectral Bats are rather large(with a wingspan a yard long), if a Stalker's front limbs were stretched out completely, they would measure over 3 yards from elongated finger-tip to elongated finger-tip.

Stalkers are aptly named for their habits. They are incredible sneaky. They have to be, because any noise they make interferes with their sound-based hunting skills. But they are also fast; almost untouchably so. This combination makes them devastating predators. They are acutely sensitive to sound, and especially focus on double beats similar to heart beats. Their brain processes sound waves almost visibly, and so it is incredibly difficult to hide from a Stalker, even from a very long distance.

(Before anyone asks, YES - this is based off the Future Predator from Primeval. It's just such a great idea for a creature I couldn't resist! )
