Description
commission for Rioclaw of FA and his buddy AndreThe intrepid Armored Core pilots take a moment for a spot of tea.
Motherwill's not going anywhere. Well, not quickly anyway. XD
This one was a beast and a half between the panoramic perspective, trying to find the perfect lighting, and all those details, but I had a blast with it. Love a good challenge where I really get to push myself. ^_^

Stellar lighting, and composition! Both pilots look authentic in their gear, and I like the contrast behind the peaceful and innocence of the moment when surrounded by the destructive war machines behind them. The background architecture, desert-resembling landscape and sky, with the coexistence of alien and human in harmony definitely captures the likeness of Star-Wars (particularly the famous Episode 1 pod-racing planet).
This has an enjoyable style and is definitely one of your best

Hahaha, this is a gem to see, and glad you are feeling up to art and work. You really captured something amusing and grand at the same time, just because you are blowing each other to bits, doesn't mean you can't still enjoy the good things in life.

Possibly inspired by this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXET1k… ? Or just parallel thinking?

Okay, that is quite possibly one of the most freaking hilarious animated shorts I've seen since the one with the birds by pixar. I want to see more of these two...
Now that I've stopped laughing so hard I cried, though, I hadn't seen it until just now, so as far as my input goes its parallel thinking, but since the scene was the commissioners idea its entirely possible that one scene was the seed of their idea, they were pretty specific about having the mechs behind them with the two of them in the foreground.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think some of my friends in college originally showed that one to me.
I suspected it was just parallel thinking, it just mirrored the scene in the middle of the short so well that I wondered.
