Description
So I shot this pic back in March, but didn't think about uploading it. Why? Well I actually have no ideaI didn't change anything on the model so I thought you guys might like to see it, it's not done at all, the tender is still missing parts, and I'm missing some wheels (the large driving wheels on the other side are still missing

Do you have instructions for this locomotive?

LBSCR Beachy Head
GNR No. 990

You're quite close, but not 100% correct - I try to model it afterΒ GNR No. 251, which is an improvement of GNR No. 990 (the most important visual difference is the bigger boiler).
Also notice when looking at LBSCR Bleachy Head you'll see that the cylinders are under the running plate, whereas my model and the GNR No. 251 have the cylinders interfering with the running plate.
But good guess

The 'large boiler' C1! Lovely, I really like the curves on the build here.

Thanks!
Don't know if you realized it, but the actual challenge were the drivers - they have no flange.
The advantages:Β
- drivers can be placed closer together, like on the real thing
- the connection rods don't interfere with the leading wheels in curves
- the splashers and running plate can sit lower (as flanges need some free space upwards as well)
- the engine doesn't have much overhang in curves, but the driving wheels still never leave the rails and just slide a little bit to the side on the rail

Ah! Interesting technique! I did something similar a while back when I made a little red 4-4-2, where only the front driver had flanges, and the trailing axle was rigid.

Oh, for a long time I didn't know Henry was supposed to be a C1, I just loove these engines! They do look a little bit like a compressed Flying Scotsman
Thanks

Oh, I|m more for tender engines, I like the sleek look they often have, especially the British ones
