Description
This is a portion of the luminaries placed on the lawn of the Kalamazoo Air Zoo on Veterans Day to honor those who served in the military. I placed some to honor family members, who have served in six different wars and conflicts. My prayer for the coming year is that there will be peace on earth and no more war. The words of Micah the Prophet many years ago, ".....they shall beat their swords into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." May 2020 be the year that prophecy comes to fulfillment.Related content

Oh I understand now and the veterans should be remembered. I don't think they get the recognition they deserve

First and foremost...thank you for your service especially so during those turbulent times. And my deep sorrow for this country's lose of your brave friend who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. And for the one who went to Canada I assume he was a conscientious objector who at least was committed to making a statement about his believes.
Yes that's a perfectly reasonable proposed bill that should be written into law. Have the commander-in-chief serve on the front lines of the first wave upon the shore of any hostile nation.
It would be great to watch the cowardly Traitor Trump try to worm his way out of serving with all the eyes of the nation on him.
When you served, you were asked once and went. Traitor Trump was asked 5 times to serve in the same war that you did and for five times he refused behind his daddy's money and fake doctor notes proclaiming bones spurs in his foot. When asked which foot it was the liar-in-chief couldn't remember.
What a disgrace Traitor Trump (and his sons Uday & Qusay) is to every soldier that has ever served and especially for those who have died serving this country.
Footnote: No Trump going back generations has ever served in the military. They think they're above that and that serving is for suckers.
