Take me by the hand and lead me into the depths of your despair,
Hold it as your truth and what you believe,
It only ever feels right behind the roadblocks of your fear,
I'd tell you but you wouldn't listen,

I'm musing your anger, the relevance of causes and effects,
My arms about you and your enmity,
The wicked ringing in my ears,
Buzzing in my head, still feeling the initial impact from the blow,

I want to disagree but I can't,
How did you find me?
Part of me is glad that you did,
Love with me is such that I can't because I don't know how,

A little bit of sickness in otherwise loving gestures,
No apologies and everything to be sorry for,
I know you'll never change, you don't even have to say anything,
I could see it in those eyes that I miss,

That little smile on your face,
It says you're happy and you've put the past behind you,
I hear a lie and the cry of black birds sharing our evening,
I know better than that,

The misfortune befallen was self-inflicted,
That I want you, warrants hate,
I shift in a comfortable pain knowing,
You have someone more suitable to break.
