Boggarts, in the Harry Potter series, are perpetual shapeshifters whose shtick is to turn into whoever sees them's worst fear. When not diguised as anyone's personal bogeyman, the Boggart (according to the movies, at least) is a flying ball of swirling magic, seemingly perpetually shifting from one form to another.

Note that Boggarts may or may not belong on this list; their sapience is heavily debated, as some argue their convincing behavior when posing as a human is just their mind-reading talents allowing them to see how the victim expects the character to behave.
