Spongebob Squarepants turned ten years old this year, which marks a pretty big milestone for Tom Kenny (Spongebob's voice) as well. He's been working in animation for over 15 years (starting on Rocko's Modern Life), and in light of his most popular character's 10th anniversary, I thought it'd be cool to give him a thank you gift. I've been a fan since 2007 when I realized that Tom had worked on pretty much every favorite cartoon of mine.I drew this (and my best buddy *squeedgemonster colored it) just in time to hand it off at Comic Con 2009. It features a selection of what I thought were his most notable characters: Spongebob, Mayor, Starscream, Spyro the Dragon, Heffer, Pat the Hammer, Eduardo and (Cat)Dog. We weren't sure how Tom would react, and to our surprise he actually teared up! Aghk! I didn't mean to make him cry! (They were happy tears though, so it's all good.) I'm so glad he liked it! I had a blast putting it together and handing it off to him in person.
By the way, Tom Kenny is one of the nicest guys around and everyone should draw stuff for him. Just sayin'.

Aw man, that is awesome and I am SUPER jealous you got to meet Tom Kenny. ;; He's been one of my favorite people since I was like..eight or nine-ish. I especially like how you drew Spyro, I can never get his stupid face right!

Spyro is the only character voiced by Tom Kenny who sounds naturalistic rather than a goofy voice. (Tom Kenny should do anime)

He does actually but there not very big roles he's Grifff in Rave Master Benjamin frint in IGPX ( a futuristic racing series Immortal grand Prix is what it stands for) and he even voices Rin in Final Fantasy X-2 I know odd title but it's a game.

You forgot Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Most or all of the voice actors that voiced the characters from Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon returned to voice the characters again for the last time, even Stewart Copeland returned to do the soundtrack for the fourth Spyro game.

Come to think of it, Cat must be crushed under there, kind of like that episode of the Simpsons with the people in the net in the water ("What about the people at the bottom?").

Tom Kenny was the voice of SpongeBob and the Narrator and Gary in SpongeBob SquarePants, and the Mayor and the Narrator in The Powerpuff Girls. Pretty satisfying, huh?

My friend and I joked that the boat must be being supported by Starscream somehow because there's really no way that boat could fit all of those guys! So you're probably right, the boat will leak and Heffer will try to fix it with Pat and they're both such knuckle-heads they'll probably tear the thing to shreds, at which point Eduardo will start screaming and Dog will have to try and keep Cat out of the water, while Spongebob saves the Mayor and Starscream and Spyro fight over who can fly the group to safety; ultimately Starscream will forfeit to Spyro and leave everyone behind, though Spyro is really too small to save anyone.
In other words, they're all doomed.
(And I believe Tom Kenny is voicing the new Iron Man in the upcoming Super Hero Squad show!)
