Description Here's a big thank you for 9000 hits - and to Gravymonkey for hitting that landmark, here's a female drow as per his request. Hope you enjoy. I tried spelunking through my massive library for my Drow of the Underdark book for reference, with no luck, so in the end, I was left with anything I could remember about Drow, including the coppery eyes, and tendency to wear mostly gold and silver....

Thanks again, and thank you to All of You, and my long-time watchers who made it possible to get this far.

I love a good Drow pic, and this is definitely a good one. The spider brooch on her belly button is a nice touch.

Shiny. In every sense of the word.

She reminds me a lot of sygnin's style, very clean, very vector, good use of gradients and muted colors. The water effect is a great touch, it adds just enough detail to take this from simple pinup to narrative. I can't critique anything since all my gripes have been tended to.

The jewelry on her is gorgeous in its simplicity. I should really steal more of your style. *smiles*

Oh, and that knife? Fantastic.

The Monster Manual, or the Underdark book...(I forget exactly which) mentions that female Drow used spider-like knives in their sacrifices. Now imagine, if you will, a spider-like knife. The idea is truly boggling. I've never seen a plausible depiction of one...I'm not sure mine is entirely accurate, either...I think it lacks a hilt. However, I was trying to hold to the description, and maintain a sense of minimalism as well...

That makes sense, they have a spider-like god, don't they? It's been a while since I read any DnD stuff.

I'm having a hard time imagining one . . . now I see what you're going for. I think your depiction works, it gives the spidery feel while still maintaining your minimalism.

Well, what can I say? She's verrrry cute! And I love the way you colored her. She looks like a cool Disney character.

Yes, her left leg should be a bit straighter so as not to make it seem like she's about to fall over, but otherwise the tilt of her hips and shoulders are just right. I know it's a style thing, but I really think she might look a little better if she had some ribs showing- just so she doesn't look so much like a lightbulb. It woul give her just that much more of a curvasious appealing look. Her eyes seems a little cross eyed too, but yeah. I really like the way you pulled off the gold of her bellybotton medallion and her necklaces and I like how you rendered her suit. I think it would look so cool if she had some sort of sheer skirt or something around her waist, like flowing against the water. The tattoos on her legs are well done also and I like her hair. Just the one piece that's sticking up looks a little odd. The reflection is nice, but the water could use some ripples or something since she seems to be moving. But- I really like the feel of this as a whole and everything. You have a unique style. I likes. Good job.

that was what i was going for....i tried putting in some rocks, to give it a more "framed" look, but i think it kind of off-set the image, which i liked more empty, hollow....
