My spore creature creator always did it automatically...but the patches eventually made it doesn't even run right on the computer, I can't make things anymore :/

I know...I mean, it's playable, but the graphics look so awful I can't even judge the patterns/textures which were my favorite part of the creations and my reason for buying the expansion pack. It was installed on a laptop (the only computer here that could run it to begin with) and there's no real way to upgrade its graphics card :/
At least I made over 150 creatures while I could, which are all on my website
