I'm sure you can guess who these two canines are supposed to be!

The Flowerfell comic is a tribute to Siviosanei's AU and fanfiction 'Overgrowth'. The story doesn't belong to me and my art only serves to bring the story to life.
Any extra scenes or dialogue are there to help explain motivations, fill plot holes or give characters a 3D feel. The overarching story and plots will stay the same.

Yeah all the monsters talk in the underground...well mostly
That is Flowey who was previously the King and Queen's son until things went wrong which was the turning point for all the monsters in the underground.
His death consequently brought about the violence and mercilessness seen presently.
When monsters die, they turn to dust as their bodies are mostly made/held together by magic. Some of his dust fell onto a bed of golden flowers and through several other events, he was resurrected by a scientist in the form he is in now.
Have a look at Undertale lore for more info, it's quite a big story event for the game so it's hard to put all in the comment

I had a feeling it'd be these two behind the trees--either that or Alphys' cameras. And yet, Frisk, ever the pacifist is just. T_T I have to say, I really love your rendition of Flowerfell!Frisk? As much as I loved Overgrowth, my main critique of it is that Frisk never seemed to fight back, or seem... well, anything beyond a literal angel. They never showed any frustrations for themself in that situation. Here, Frisk feels so much more human. She's compassionate and scared (shown wonderfully in your art), but gets frustrated and is a little bit of a daredevil. It makes her friendship with Flowey, pun intended, much more organic.

Knowing it is pointless to run at that moment, extending a hand in offer of greetings seems reasonable to her.
And thank you so much, I found that same problem with Overgrowth's story myself. Most of the characters just didn't have enough realism to them.
Making the main character this absolute angel that didn't really do much was boring and hard to relate to as a reader. I ended up more interested in what Sans was doing and didn't have too much of a care for Frisk.
Something I felt needed to change if the story was supposed to revolve around her!
I am relieved to know I am achieving that as it is a goal of mine so thank you very much for that feedback
