A minimal theme for windows 8.1This was just a quick side project of Sharp but I still decided to share it.

This theme requires oldnewexplorer:

Make sure to check glass behind navbar in oldnewexplorer settings.
The top border color can be changed in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalisation\Personalisation\Colour and Appearance.
It's recommended to disable the explorer ribbon and the up button. Also I recommend to apply Glow Tweaks: seapip.com/Glow%20Tweaks.exe
Update:
27-06-14: -Fixed gray titlebar on maximized windows
-Fixed darker color behind titlebar text
-Fixed taskbar background on small taskbar and top taskbar

I followed your instruction, but somehow my explorer buttons (minimize, maximize, close) and 'back and forward' buttons doesn't changed to white as your example. Is there any step by step tutorial to achieve exactly like your theme?

I found some workaround, i used uxpatcher and winaerotweaker. voila!

Great theme ! However, I have a problem : indeed, in Mozilla for example, there are white borders at the left, right, and bottom (pic : i.imgur.com/D3jPOuP.jpg ).

It will work partially, I suggest upgrading to 8.1, any feature available in 8 can be brought back in 8.1 anyway.

How can I get same "Back" and "Forward" icons like yours? Can you give the Explorer.exe or the ExplorerFrame.dll files?

It's a win 8 theme which means the navigation buttons are part of the msstyles.

its nice, but doesnt work well with IE and ModernMix from stardock. there r white borders aroud those metro apps windows, looks bad. i hope that ud consider that in next project i see ur developing

Yes, W8.1 completely up to date.
Guess what? Finally made it work! i can hardly believe it myself.
Issue was oldnewexplorer, corrupted or something.....
Downloaded a new one and it just happened (as advertised) 
And after a week of hustle i can finally enjoy your great theme.

Hey man, just tried out your theme, really liked it and but if I were to point out something, it's that the close buttons on the top should be more responsive. They should have some fill when you hover your mouse and become darker when you click.
Also I read the comment about windows controls, what limitation is there with the buttons?

Is this a file explorer window that was opened by a program? If that's the then it's a common bug in old new explorer

Oh I already see the problem, you have the explorer ribbon enabled, download "ribbon disabler" and disable it.

Oh, thanks, it helped...remove the ribbon, but there one last problem left, sorry to bother you like that but i cant help it :S here is the result(also a window with old new explorer settings i have) i.imgur.com/9WSKhce.png , as you can see it kinda helped but there is not navigation bar or whatever its called, its there, but its just invisible, i can click on buttons if i click in the right spot, and here is what happens when i select any option from old new explorers appearance style drop down list i.imgur.com/xDLCfQH.png and when i focus back to that window, this bar disappears...there is also no blur behind window...i really hate to bother you but i really need help, i also think that anyone who happens to encounter this same problem can just read this "bugfix tutorial" or whatever xD thanks a lot

And blur? the theme isn't transparent, if you want transparency instead of a solid color you should use www.glass8.eu/

Scratch that, all problems except the blur behind were fixed when i changed the background picture i.imgur.com/khTCpDa.png but still need help on enabling that blur

Thanks I love this theme, just one tiny thing that bothers me, when in all of the folders, the top text shows fine (location, like libraries in your pic) but for some reason I cant work out (I've tried switching all the settings in old new explorer) when on the desktop folder it cuts off the front like this i.imgur.com/rkhXFuX.png it's a very minor thing but I'd like to know the reason for it if you know.

It's a bug in oldnewexplorer which appears from time to time in file selection dialogs.

It doesn't play well when windows is scaled above 100%, I have this issue when I switch between high DPI laptop screen and my low DPI external monitor.

Hi! I'm a big fan of this skin, but every since I reinstalled Windows the icons don't seem to be changing. I've tried OldNewExplorer and UltraUXThemePatcher but the issue remains. Is there anything you think I might have missed? Thanks!
