I just discovered yet another unfinished artwork that I did in college. The artist 'Me' in college was pretty damn good actually. I think at the time I made a bet with someone that I could draw Avatar...then I never finished it. It was done an a genius pen tablet at the time. I thought that I would upload it. This is heavily cropped...only showing the part of the image that was actually rendered the most. I really wanted to finish it. I may still do that.Related content

Thank you!!!. Me too!!! I love this movie. I think people are too hard on it saying it's over rated and that it has been done before and yadayada....I think one of the key characteristics of this movie is that the world itself is it's own character. This is a movie with giant blue people, six legged creatures, tree gods and large flying creatures, yet everything looks like it belongs and makes perfect sense within what is created. Besides the story, I think exploring this planet and culture was done amazingly in this movie...I would go as far as to say it almost had a documentary quality to alien life...which is why people felt such a strong connection to this planet. Hopefully I get to finish itΒ Β

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I'm very fascinated with all of the different creatures, and how they tied everything together. It would be so cool to be able to explore an alien planet like this one haha! I just recently watched it, and it inspired me to create a comic about unearthly creatures.

Just fyi, James Cameron has an entire book/encyclopedia type thingy about everything in the world from the creatures to I think the lore...everything. I forget what it is called but I know that there is one. That is another brilliant thing about the movie. He designed the entire backstory and culture which is why the world feels real because the economy is 'real'.
