Description This is a helpful guide for both humans and planes alike, which will teach you where it is safe to pet a Concorde. Following this guide will help you to be safe and avoid serious injury when petting your beloved Concorde.

This is inspired by 's guide for Phantoms fav.me/d8fs6nl
And also 's guide for Tomcats fav.me/d8of8as

DISCLAIMER:
  • The Concorde's reaction to the yellow areas varies with each Concorde. Some enjoy those areas. Some others hate those areas. Pet those areas at your own risk.
  • I am not responsible for loss of hands, heads and death as a result of petting the yellow and red areas.

Note: This particular Concorde's reactions (seen by the annotation pointing to a particular region) is based off Sebascelisc from the data the Scientists who created him obtained in various experiments. No scientists were harmed in the making of this guide.

Thanks for the chart! I'll be sure not to touch in and around the engines, unless I want to be afterburned!

No problem! Fun fact, Sebascelisc sometimes use his afterburners to roast his meal. You definately don't want to be behind those engines

However, pet him at the wings and head will make him act like a puppy X3

And I thought I was more petting-friendly than most planes . As with my backside... It's unpredictable. You could get your wing bitten off, or you get what you asked for Depends who and what the plane is (*cough*Val*cough*)

I guess I should do one for a V-22. (Partially because I have yet to see one other person with a V-22 as their main OC/Planesona)

Sebascelisc In reply to TheRPMKid [2015-04-13 00:17:12 +0000 UTC]

It's interesting how V-22 planesonas are uncommon. I thought that aircraft was well known, plus the ability to hover like a helicopter is a desirable and unique ability

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheRPMKid In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-04-13 01:26:23 +0000 UTC]

I know it's a really well known plane as well. It is a really cool ability too. I'll just be in the lonely corner with myself making all the V-22 OC's

Sebascelisc In reply to TheRPMKid [2015-04-13 04:12:37 +0000 UTC]

It's not so lonely when you're the King of V-22s . You are the only one, so why not be the king of your kind?

TheRPMKid In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-04-13 10:56:57 +0000 UTC]

Sebascelisc In reply to TheRPMKid [2015-04-14 03:59:28 +0000 UTC]

...you got me

But everyone should know you as a V-22. That's the unique thing about you

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheRPMKid In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-04-14 10:33:26 +0000 UTC]

True. I will stay a V-22 (either that or go with a V-280 Valor as well)

TrainEngie In reply to ??? [2015-04-12 04:02:44 +0000 UTC]

If I were a Concorde, everywhere would be red, except for my nosecone.

EDIT:
Why would the wingtips be risky to touch?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to TrainEngie [2015-04-12 07:02:01 +0000 UTC]

The Wingtips are the most vulnerable parts of the wing. If the plane had winglets, like many modern planes today, it would be highlighted either yellow or red, as they want to protect it from damage or else they suffer from wingtip vortices. In the case of the Concorde, it's simply because it's the most exposed and vulnerable part of the wing that is the easiest to damage.

The tailfin is usually the weakest aerodynamic device (wing/stabiliser/control surface) , which is why most of it is yellow, and the tip is red. The rudder is a matter of opinion. Some planes enjoy being petted there like Sebascelisc, while some other planes dread it.

The only places where my bird lets me touch him are his cheeks and the top and back of his head. His neck or anywhere else, don't ask, Fred can be a biter.

If my versions of killer concordes were real and small enough to be petted, this chart would be accurate except for having four clawed feet rather than wheels.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to Tulmur95 [2015-04-12 03:04:28 +0000 UTC]

Yes! Thank you. It's good to hear that it's accurate

Tulmur95 In reply to Sebascelisc [2015-04-12 15:55:58 +0000 UTC]

Luckily we don't have killer concordes. Whether they be 50 feet long like my version or 12 inches long (cockatiel length).

Sebascelisc In reply to Scooter160 [2015-04-12 01:26:08 +0000 UTC]

It's just instincts . It makes sense to protect the most vulnerable parts.

The Concorde's favorite place is around the head, and around the middle of the Delta wing if you're wondering

whodatninja9386020 In reply to ??? [2015-04-12 01:11:32 +0000 UTC]

Why not the intake?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sebascelisc In reply to whodatninja9386020 [2015-04-12 01:23:15 +0000 UTC]

Touching the intake risks damaging the engine and the nacelle. Those components are vital for the plane's survival (required for flight), and therefore they are quite sensitive around those areas.

In the case of humans, it's like the eyeball. You don't want people touching your eye, because not only it stings, but it also risks damaging one of the most fragile and important organs for your survival. It is your instinct to flinch and push that annoying person's hand out of the way. It's the same with most aircraft. It is an instinct to push the human or other planes' wing away, and in some cases this can kill the human due to the plane's immense size. Some planes also bite, so be careful!
