Well, then have look at your tutorial. Who is adressed here? Beginners or advanced?
Start sketching a human head. Beginners will fail, advanced painter get bored.
There is no hint on how to draw it with correct proportions.
Next you added eyes, nose, mouth, light and dark version.
Beginners will fail, as they don't have a slightest idea were to place.
Continueing on how to fill areas.
Your head is nearly finished. You start adding details for a more
realistic impression.
Now, please sit back, relax and have a second look at your tut.
You may clearly see, it covers three steps only in groups of
similar pictures.
There is a lot of work in between these steps and no beginner ever get a clue
of what has to be done.
I know, it's kind of awkward, to explain those intermediate steps, as it is so
simple and basic to you, the author.
Now think of the sketched owl, where those steps have been reduced in two steps only.
That's just one step less than in your tut in the eye of a beginner.
I like your tut though, your paintings have a decent quality. I'm no beginner, so i
add missing steps in my mind. Beginners won't.
Please continue doing tuts. I think your are on a good way. Hope to see more of this
(with some additional steps pictured).

P.S.: Hopefully you understand, the owl joke is not meant as a critique of your person,
but on the fast-pacing tutorial. Maybe you now laugh about it too, when watching
others fast-pacing tuts.

So that's how digital portrait artists do it. I still think the pencil is a lot more...intimate. Meeeyahahahahaaa......X3

Well yeah some digital artists do this way but also I think some do pencil first and scan to the computer and that paint it digitally. :3
