Description This series of photos were taken on my recent trip to my birthplace and home of my parents Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. These are places I have memories of as a child on summer vacations.
There are others that I just found on the afternoon I spent driving around town.

yet another spot for me to hit up and get up. i'm gonna have fun revitalizing your sleepy town with some of my artwork, abandoned spots like this are so depressing, remnants of a bygone era that doens't exist left behind by people that will never return.

Mom said she thinks the woman who owned the property died a few years ago.

now that's unfortunate. and from the looks of things the station died along with the owner.

Did you get the chance to check out the prices on the old pumps? That's always a real hoot!

Better watch out with all this great stuff: you're dangerously close to needing a stock account, you know?

amazing, eh? I spent some time in Goffs, California (Mojave Desert) and found a ghost gas station where the prices were about 65ยข !! Fun stuff!

Such a tiny building! I love this: it's as if nature is taking back what little land the gas station is inhabiting.
