Trosala Vinters the paternal grandmother of Tuskaro Alyen the Nlian medic in my AU Star Trek "New Start." verse

She was born on the Northern Continent in the city of Benlon . Her father was a musician/composer and her mother a record keeper. Trosala was always a studious girl who believed strongly in education and passing on knowledge to the next generation. At an early age she made it her life's goal to become a teacher.

After taking Adult passage she became an instructor for Level Three students (Ages 14-18). She was very good at working with young people, sharply observant and insightful. And although kind, she put up with no nonsense. She always made it plain to her students
that if they wanted to succeed in her class they would have to work hard.

She also demonstrated many administrative skills and it led to her being offered a position as assistant administrator at a school in Ilen in 2187.

Not long after moving to Ilen she was noticed by Nyetor Alyen a well known fisher/hunter who was somewhat of a local hero.

He was charismatic and admired by everyone, especially women. But although she did find him attractive, she had no intention of falling into someone's arms based solely on looks or charisma. And she also considered him too arrogant and sure of himself.

Her disinterest, only intrigued him, first as a challenge but later because the more he learned about her the more she fascinated him. It took him two years before she finally allowed him to court her. When she asked him why he wanted to pursue her, he told her honestly that he thought she was the only one worth having. She agreed to let him court her but told him that she would tolerate no nonsense
and if he intended to win her he would have to work hard.

He did and two years later in 2190, they lifemated.

In many ways they were polar opposites. He was a rugged outdoorsman who was happiest in or near water, while she was happiest reading and teaching. But their love was real and deep. He taught her to enjoy the outdoors and she in turn taught him to appreciate inner strength and to be more humble.

The Mating struck in 2192 and a year later their son, Stovar Alyen was born.

In 2196 their daughter, Chayla Alyen was born.

Tragedy struck in early 2198 when Nyetor was killed in a sudden flash flood that took his hunting party by surprise. Trosala was devastated by the loss of her lifemate, but focused on being there for her children. She raised them as a single parent and also continued her career. She had a talent with administration and in time rose to become Chief Administrator (Superintendent) of Ilen's Level Three schools.

She also watched her children and always encouraged them to follow their dreams. Her daughter, Chayla was very much into art and culture and inherited her mother's skills in administration. Her son, Stovar, grew to be like his father in many ways: strong bodied, boisterous and enjoying both water and fishing, but he took after his mother in that he was very much interested in developing his mind.
He became fascinated with building and designing.

Both of her children lifemated and eventually she enjoyed several grandchildren: Prylae, Zolee, Tuskaro, Lormon and Menya.

All of her grandchildren were in many ways like herself and Nyetor. Prylae Alyen was athletic and competitive. Zolee Alyen
was filled with spark and charm. Lomon Vaquel was adventurous and fearless and Menya Vaquel was strong willed and confident.

Her youngest grandchild, Tuskaro Alyen was much quieter than his siblings and cousins, but she noticed how his eyes sparkled whenever he looked up at the night sky. She had seen that same look in Nyetor's eyes when he looked at the sea.

In 2238 Trosala finally rejoined her lifemate.
