very conceptual.. very nice.. really like the heads.. but i feel the little stars are quite "out of the concept" and doesn't reinforce the mood of the work, but it`s okay.. you have great style.. gonna watch u now..

wow,it is a really great piece i must say. When i saw it on a smaller scale it looked like a piece i had seen in a book of mine, and i thought i might look at it enlarged and i must say i am really impressed cuz it really looks like the one in my book >.<

You! How about that. I left you such a terrible comment in November of two thousand and two. I didn't deconstruct your work and search for clever observations about the arrangement of elements. I didn't try to trace the conscious or unconscious allusions to alchemy or other western arcana. I must have been an awfully boring person back then. Look at that laughable signature I had too.
I still love this.

i like the little stars...it makes the root seem even taller and the heads even more tower-some(if that was a word)

It's a perfectly well composed image. Yes, I said "perfectly".
I'm just hesitating about those little stars... but it's my modest opinion.
Anyway, it deserves a fav.

that was a very great sketch of a head - very pretty
the background is fantastical looking - all the texture and shades, and those stars really add to it
the leaf on the left, and the ground really rock, i like the green tinge to it

well done... the heads and root combined with the grey colors kinda gives it a melancholy feel...yet there's a certain warmness to it; maybe 'cause of the stars and textures. very nice effect...and very pleasing to the eye.

oooooh... this caught my eye immediately.. i really like the tree-flower look you got with the heads.. also i think the different polygon shapes in the background really add to the distortion of the image..
nice work!

This works well...
I think this is a portent of interesting things to come. Well put together, and fairly interesting in itself.

I really enjoy the photocollage style
patterns in the background
but I wish it weren't so regular
or, at least, regularly regular.
the head flower head... is really interesting
because, taken as a single element,
it really conveys the visual sense of a flower;
the placement and scale of each head, though,
really denies that so as I look at each head individually
they become separate and distinct -- albeit identical --
and remain as pieces, rather than a whole.
I like that tension and then the way it's
the anchor of the composition, moving forward
along the branch to the ground and backward
along the mirroring shapes to the textural ground.
like pillars, built on instability.

Real nice work, especially how everything just kind of starts out small and then you have this big flower staring at you. All the different tree parts for the stem are neat too. Damn, even the way you illuminated the sky around the flower is fucking nice. I wish I got the stars, though. I can't seem to figure them out. Damn hidden messages.

When your presented with a situation in which the normalcy of plutonic/sonorous interactions is turned on its head...Your left assembling your thoughts by hand.
Without a nuance of syllable ,no exchange of glance. We build upon our interpretations of paragraph even without the poesy of daily interaction, interpersonal boundaries laid out through knowing exactly when to remain silent.
Look..How beautiful you are , what fortunate company you keep..(you should remind him)
All these faces ironically may never have led to my calling you friend?..each expression we make, marks without doubt or remorse on anyone that cares to look for the exact nature of our feelings or lack there of for them, through misunderstanding or acknowledgment of truth.
Words we've had and never crossed.
Waking to or fearing yourself to be these plethora of unnamed faces..When you'll always be where you started through memory and feeling. Chance and opportunity are an adventure, besides they make for better stories to regale to me!

Interesting composition. Not sure if the "heads looking up in steps" would be as effective tho. The faces create such a dramatic sense of direction. Leading the eye to the stem, and then the roots. I also dig the areas where the faces are reversed out⦠so Man Ray. Very nice!

unlike some people, i am not afraid of progress. this is gorgeous. i love the stem of the head flower, and that is such an elegant sketch. who is it of? i'd love to see the sketch alone too.

you're right spaceron, the original had faces looking up in steps, but it was taking too long for my short attention span. so i tried to make a rose out of one head instead, with different levels of intensity with it's repetition.

Great that tree of heads. The way that they are put together gives a lot of dynamics, and it is almost like the head is turning towards us, but it doesn't it is the placement that does that. Still, think of the possibilities if you had different heads that look up in steps?
