While the more well known heroes, like the Sentinels, patrol much of Sapphire City, Artifex mainly sticks to her own district, Riverside, located in Downtown Sapphire City. Riverside used to be a low-rent, semi-industrial arts district, in recent decades it has transformed into a neighborhood of trendy restaurants, boutiques, nightclubs, and residential towers as well as warehouses and art galleries. However, even this trendy neighborhood was not free of crime. From armed robbery, to drug dealing, Riverside had it's fair share of problems, especially at night. The police could only do so much, and the Sentinels couldn't be there all the time. However, the crime rate slowly started to decline when Artifex entered the scene. With a local, superpowered hero patrolling the neighborhood, criminals now thought twice, and residents were able to breathe a little easier. Even the cops were grateful for this young vigilante, even though they had orders to arrest her from their captain, they were in no hurry to do so, so long as she didn't kill anyone. It didn't take long before Artifex became something of a local celebrity in Riverside, residents would often ask to take pictures of her or get her autograph. Storeowners would even ask her to paint her murals on any bank walls they have, as a way to bring in more customers who were fans of Artifex and her artwork. Nowadays, the streets of Riverside are much safer, now that it's patrolled by it's very own stretchy, teen guardian.
