If you've watched Ben 10 Original as a kid, awesome!If you've watched Ben 10 Original then transitioned into Ben 10 Alien Force, that is cool there.
If you've watched Ben 10 Original, Alien Force and transitioned into Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, why would Man of Action do that in the first place?
and if you've watched all three original series and then saw this monstrosity with a sane mind: the same response would pop into your head based on watching the trailers for this program.
I mean really? are we supposed to believe that these guys look anything like the versions of the characters in the Original, Alien Force and Ultimate Alien once did? It doesn't even match to their developed personalities, they don't even look like they are trying to even be subtle anymore about these guys now.
And if any of you says that this series is going to be better than the original series or it's somewhat decent sequel series was, [link] !!

Hey, I'm not gonna defend Omniverse by saying its better then what came before it, because it's not, its the worst of the four Ben 10 show, but I'll defend it as it's not as bad as people think. People treat it like Operation Overdrive, when they should be treating it like Megaforce. Don't get the reference? Operation Overdrive and Megaforce are considered by many to be the two worst seasons of Power Ranger, Overdrive had nothing redeemable in my eyes. Omniverse and Megaforce at least gave you a sense that some effort was put in it.
Now by no means is should Omniverse be treated like RPM or In Space in terms of fan reaction, but at least it had some good things, like the voice acting, the best being either Rob Paulsen or Steve Blum.
And just remember, this was announced.Β Oh god why? Β That might be comparable to the worst thing I have ever seen, Power/Rangers. Oh god I hate that 'fan' film as much as Jupiter Acceding. my meltdown (as represented by the NC) Β Sorry for the slight breakdown there. I hope it wasn't too long.
And to those hating the art style; I really like it. It reminds me of Transformers Animated, which makes sense, Derrick J Wyatt worked on it as well as TFA and Scooby Do Mysteries Incorporated.
BTW; Alien Force is the best IMHO.

Alien Force had an interesting plot (at first) but that's it. Β It went south rather quickly after that. Ultimate Alien was just... ugh. Omniverse is just "meh" at worst which is better than Alien Force and Ultimate Alien overall. And Man of Action is only responsible for the original series. They may have came up with the concept and premise for Alien Force, but after the original series they did in fact move on to Generator Rex. Which lasted for a considerable amount of time for a cartoon show with a high budget.

The new style of the series is what really bugs me the most. I refuse to watch it at all because it's not the Ben 10 that I grew up to love. This is something completely different and I really, really dislike it. They took amazing characters and reduced them down to something silly. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get enough ratings to keep the series going. It's awful, in my opinion.
Like, Kevin has always been my favorite, and it really upsets me what they did with his design. He doesn't even look like Kevin any more, and it was like a slap to the face.

see the reason for the art shift was to make it more cartoony in order to draw in a younger audience. That way merchandise sales would go up. Toys video games etc. when it comes down to it it was all done for the sake of making more money.

Honestly, I searched "Ben 10 Review" in Youtube, and every video link there was STRICTLY about either some lame Wii Ben 10 game or a Ben 10 toy product. Honestly here, somebody has GOT to tear this show a new one on video feed or something.
...Anyways I'm trying to figure out how the people at CinemaSins do their Sin Videos, thinking I'd go and do something like an "Everything Wrong With" video for Season 3 of Ben 10 Alien Force, personally it's where the quality of the show began to seriously fall at, not just in animation (like the scene where The Petrosapiens are being revived, it's all just the same animation of 1 male Petrosapien that is just resized and placed around the clip, not even bothering to add in females or children, or even to have the Petrosapiens being a different hue at all... or even reversed to face a different direction), but also in the main character himself (see this video I made a while back for yourself www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnc22Fβ¦)

Give the show a try, I also had my doubts about this, mostly because Ultimate aliens was so dumb and lazy. But Omniverse is a great show and actual give a damn again about it self and the fans. ALiens are aliens again instead of digimon rip-offs and you can get used to the style.

Personally, I couldn't stand Alien Force. I didn't like the style, the plot, the aliens (especially the stupid "ultimate" ones) or how Ben yelled the nickname of whatever he turned into - including the first time he turned into it! He just yelled something like, "SWAMPFIRE! Hey, what the heck am I?" I like the new aliens much better in this show, and as far as the human designs, Yeah, they're weird, but I still prefer the style over Alien Force. Also, AF's Ripjaws (my favorite alien) looked like some stupid koi, and Omniverse fixed that a ton. Also Eatle improved in Omniverse appearance-wise. Basically, I have high hopes for Omniverse because Ben is more like his old self instead of randomly being nice to Gwen and an overall goody-two-shoes at the beginning of AF. AF was just bad (in my opinion).

Okay, for the record, Ben's in high school. I've learned that people don't necessarily mature there. I also watched more than the first episode of Alien Force recently and Ben was still a large butt crack, which was where my issue with his Alien Force personality came from. It just didn't make sense that he changed from a little jerk to a friendly person and then back to a jerk, but my argument involving this was kind of rendered invalid after taking a closer look at the actual show. So basically for anything involving Ben's maturity, sorry - I was mistaken.

I know what you mean, I absolutely HATED the asshole for becoming one in Season 3, when previously he was modest, forgiving and friendly in the previous two seasons of the show.
Season 1 Alien Force:
*After the first encounter with Morningstar*
Ben: *Facing Kevin with a solemn look on his face* "Listen guys, I'm sorry I took Morningstars' side over yours." *Turns towards Gwen* "And more important, that I wasn't watching your back."
Gwen: "It wasn't your fault, I guess Morningstar had some kind of control over me."
Ben: *Looks down* "It was my fault. I was in such a hurry about building our team; I ignored the danger. If I'm going to be a good leader, I need to show better judgment."
Season 3 Alien Force:
*After retaking control over himself from Ghostfreak and reverting back to human again*
Ben: *Smirking* "No-no-no, hold your applause." *Notices Gwen helping Kevin to his feet again after their battle against both Ghostfreak and Vilgax and rushes over towards them* "Aw, you guys missed the whole thing!"
Kevin: *Irate* "We saw enough."
Gwen: *Cross* "Ben, that was really, really stupid."
Ben: *Smiling* "Except for the part where it worked right?"
Kevin: *Angry* "And we almost got creamed in the process." *Is helped to his feet and is supported by Gwen* "You're not in this alone! Or did you forget?" *Both walk away from Ben in disgust*
Ben: *Curious* "...So no victory parade?"
Rule of character development: Immature characters that become Mature later on, should stay Mature. Am I right?

Absolutely. I was thinking specifically of the first season of Ultimate Alien (I think) where he pretty much destroyed his relationship with Julie for the entire episode (He had turned into Echo Echo to make himself into three - one normal, one buttface and one borderline fabulous who sang Humungousaur upon transforming). He was disgustingly insensitive for the whole episode and everyone but his fangirls wanted to tear him apart, including me. I think it was Episode 2: Duped.

What is up with Man of Action trying to create relationship strains through emotional turmoil by way of situations that do not make sense? Haven't these guys learned anything from Leiji Matsumoto when it comes to portraying emotions and story in ways that flow like the river? At least the story in Space Battleship Yamato was engaging, beautiful, and entertaining to watch all at the same time. I watched it when I was 4, it was my first anime ever, and nearly 17 years later: it's still my favorite anime. Matsumoto knew how to make even the simplest of things poetic no matter how it is:

If people could make stuff like this back in the 1970s with limited animation techniques compared to what we have today just 40 years later, than why is it that whenever we see something visually stunning, we are automatically jipped out of any and all emotional development and story? I ask you.

I totally agree (I watched the clip and the animation is great). I think the biggest problem is the attempt to shift to 3D models, cgi, attack effects as a main priority (Chromastone's Magical Rainbow Attack of Happiness) and the excuse of "stylization" being a legitimate replacement for quality and detail. That was my biggest issue with Alien Force not seeming like Ben 10 - the style changed a lot. Everything was to straight, flat and boxlike. The original had that too, but not to the extremes of Alien Force. I like the style of Omniverse better because it's closer to the original (although I agree with what people are saying about the characters' pupil-less, soulless eyes). I feel like a lot of the facial expressions in Alien Force were bland, too - an angry alien would usually just narrow its eyes. The original show did a much better job.
