Description
If you've watched Ben 10 Original as a kid, awesome! If you've watched Ben 10 Original then transitioned into Ben 10 Alien Force, that is cool there.
If you've watched Ben 10 Original, Alien Force and transitioned into Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, why would Man of Action do that in the first place?
and if you've watched all three original series and then saw this monstrosity with a sane mind: the same response would pop into your head based on watching the trailers for this program.
I mean really? are we supposed to believe that these guys look anything like the versions of the characters in the Original, Alien Force and Ultimate Alien once did? It doesn't even match to their developed personalities, they don't even look like they are trying to even be subtle anymore about these guys now.
And if any of you says that this series is going to be better than the original series or it's somewhat decent sequel series was, [link] !!

No it's not. Almost all aliens were wearing white and black uniforms in the original series. Ghostfreak had a protective skin against the sunlight. Even in UA, Fourarm was given underwears. So criticizing Omniverse for that is being a bit hypocrite.
Don't get me right, I agree we have reason to be mad against Omniverse; but we must at least make sure our arguments make sense; otherwise, we won't be much better than those annoying AF-UA haters who are always crying they want the original show back.

I Still don't like the underwear on EVERY alien. The ones that are animals should be naked. They're animals...

I beg your pardon. Safe maybe for Azmuth (and I'm not even sure), all of them are sentient beings, and as such not animals. It has been shown that even the most animalesques, like Ripjaw and Humongousaure, are sentient as species. So it makes perfect sense they wear clothes.
Personnally I assume those clothes are merely Ben's ordinary clothes being converted and adapted by nanorobots inside the Omnitrix. Hence why they were white and black in the original series and green and black in AF/UA/Omniverse.

That nanorobots thing actually makes sense. But, in that case, why would other sentient aliens have the same human issues with nudity? Isn't presumptuous to assign our moral standards to beings from other planets?

Your concept could be taken the other way around : isn't it presumptuous to assume we are the only ones who developped the concept of wearing clothes ? Plus, in both series, there are some species (like Heatblast) who don't wear clothes anyway (probably cause they can't; how can you wear clothes when you're always on fire?^^).
Still, I will agree some of the clothings and other stuff look weird on them (I am especially not a fan of Fourarm's mustach)

Fourarms looks like a pedophile with that thing! That's reason enough for criminals to keep away! Fear of rape!

Lol that's a bit extreme^^ but still it does look bad on him. Fans can say what they want, I actually liked the ponytail. The mustach just doesn't fit for an alien to my opinion.

I've certainly been called worse! I STILL think Fourarms looks like a pedophile.

Well, I never got to see a pedophile (and I sincerely hope neither did you^^') so I cannot really judge. But I admit he does look ugly.

Yeah, it's not just how the human characters look like or how they are designed as opposed to the aliens, but it is just those eyes: how soulless they look. At least in the original, Alien Force and Ultimate Alien: the human characters had pupils to their eyes to better help on conveying emotions to the audience at the time, here around the Aliens have the pupils and the humans do not anymore, if you are trying to tell a Ben 10 Story through and from the perspective of the aliens in this show that would be alright, but it's Bens' show and seeing him without pupils is just... scary to look at... [link] ...ughhhh...

Lol. And to think some fans actually feel like the Omniverse design allow for more emotion....

rubtox In reply to Darinas [2012-09-29 07:35:59 +0000 UTC]
is ridiculous to think that the pupils are what adds emotion to the character, that's his face, his eyes, his eyebrows, his mouth, Etc.
UAF only have like 4 different faces for the characters, a happy face, a sad face, an angry face and a normal face.
OV has a large variety of faces expressing a variety of emotions.

Darinas In reply to rubtox [2012-09-29 11:48:33 +0000 UTC]
I do agree that pupils don't have much importance in emotions.
Still, I think fans are overreacting. Large variety of face expressing emotions? Not so much, to my opinion. Plus, at what price ? The humans designs are poorly handled; Ben looks like a puppet, has a ridiculous haircut, and his smile is just... weird. At least both AF and the original show gave him a more credible design. I especially liked the way Ben look in AFU (to be fair, he was the only one of the three with a cool design; Kevin and Gwen felt a bit unoriginal).
Then again, OV has a good animation, and, when moving, Ben actually looks a bit better. And as I keep saying, I won't judge the show until I got a good look at the plot and character development (I hate Ultimate Spider-Man, but even then I waited for 20 episodes to give up on it and confirm it sucked). But for now, you HAVE to admit it, the designs for human characters so far are LAME !

Actually fans overreact for both to support the series as to hate the series, I've heard (read it actually) fans complaining about the most absurd things, and fans praising the series for unimportant things, fans should be more neutral.
As for the designs of the humans, that is a matter of opinion, someone could hate them, and someone else could love them, and both would be correct.
And actually I do not really like the designs of UAF, like gwen with that square chin those square lips and the square eyes, that were so out of place that made her look ugly, but those same attributes do not look so bad in OV because all the characters have geometric shapes and do not seem out of place anymore.
OS has the best designs.

Darinas In reply to rubtox [2012-09-30 03:01:14 +0000 UTC]
I agree that fans have been overreacting on both side, that's actually quite common amongst them; Don't expect a fandom to act rational^^
More seriously, I told you, yeah, Gwen's and Kevin's design were uninmpressive in UAF, but Ben had a rather good one to my opinion. I personnally rathered his UAF look even over the OS one, and in his case, the square chin was rarely remarquable anyway. For the remaining, on the other hand, I will have to agree with you that the OS had the best designs.
I wasn't that bothered with DJW simplifying the designs in Teen Titans and TFA, as I felt it was actually rather welcome. But in Ben 10, I can't help but feel like some elements are just plain weird. Especially Ben's smile.

I could make an entire rows of different faces from Kevin and Ben in AF and UA, to show how wrong you are, but it would be a waste of time.

rubtox In reply to SilverLady7 [2012-09-30 03:37:43 +0000 UTC]
I know that in UAF they have more expressions, the "four different faces" was not literal and the number 4 I chose randomly. What I was trying to say is that compared to OV, UAF has less expressions.

You said it all.
I couldnΒ΄t watch the first chapter of Omniverse entire. During the first 3 series, one of the main lessons was about the value of team spirit. Vilgax captured Gwen and Kevin in the end of Alien Force because he knew that Ben wouldnΒ΄t be able to win by himself. In Ultimate Alien, they taught Charmcaster to work in a team, too.
And then, in the beginning of Omniverse, Ben says he doesnΒ΄t need any help! How could he have forgotten everything he learned before, at the drop of a hat?

To Omniverse's credit, Zombozo was mocking Ben after Gwen and Kevin left, saying that he wouldn't have won without them, and Ben simply defended his pride. As for when he said he didn't need help to Rook, Ben felt that Rook couldn't replace Gwen and Kevin.
THAT IS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES I WILL DEFEND OMNIVERSE!

rubtox In reply to SilverLady7 [2012-09-29 07:55:58 +0000 UTC]
He did not forget anything, he just said to zombozo that is capable to stand on their own and that he is a self-sufficient hero.
The show is still about teamwork, if not they would not have made ββRook.
In fact it is better as it shows the interaction of Ben with a new character that he do not known, continue the series with Gwen and Kevin as a team had not brought anything new.
And after watching the first 2 episodes of OV I can say that they are better than the first 2 episodes of AF (that's just a personal opinion).
