Why do I keep doing this to myself?I haven't the faintest idea.
You think I'd learn to not do these pain-in-the-butt vectors anymore. But no, I have to do them. Because my brain won't let me not do it.

I feel the same way.The castle just looks so unbalanced and why is it made of crystal?It's probably because the chest was made of crystal,but it just doesn't fit in with Ponyville.The library looked like it belonged in Ponyville.It fit with atmosphere of the town.The castle just stands out,and not in the good way.

I think it's more so living crystal, like the Tree of Harmony was. Besides, Twi can probably just cast a spell to make it invisible

Hmmm, yeah. I think I need to throw my hat in with the 'The Library Tree was better!' crowd. Digibro's thoughts on the matter very much had a decisive impact on how I saw the structure, which immediately stuck me as utterly toy-baiting. I wouldn't have minded if the Castle of the Two Sisters just became the new palace for Twilight, and the box just did... Well, something else. Perhaps it could have magically rebuilt the unfinished bits or something...

I don't usually watch analysis videos just cause I don't have the time. I actually thought the same, that the castle of the Two Sisters would be her new place. But the fact that it isn't leaves it open to some interesting episodes in S5 I hope

Yeah. Well, ultimately, in the vid, he believed the old tree was much more homely, and had far more of a character to it than what he said was 'a dark... cave inside a tree... which looks totally out of place'... Or something along those lines.

You sorta feel the same when you move, but you get used to your new house over time even if you never forget your old one.

You are correct. There IS a library in Twilight's castle, according to photos of the Rainbow Kingdom playset's interior.
The photos show quite a few other rooms in the castle, too.

#1 question for everyone that likes the show. What is Ponyville going to do with out a library?
#2 question. What does the Mayor think about there being a new palace in the middle of Ponyville and does that mean that they no longer need a mayor at all, but instead Princes Twilight owns the town.
#3 Who originally owed the land that the palace grew up on, I'd bet that it belonged to Filthy Rich, and now Twilight has to pay what ever price that he is asking for the land.
#4 Why didn't Princes Celestia sue Twilight for not having a building permit.

That is just too funny. Please don't mind me, I have dealt with too many government agencies to just let this one slide. Permits are just a way for your local government to make money off of your personal decisions. Building inspectors can be a real pain to deal with if you aren't their buddy, or willing to slip a little money under the table to them.
Basically I am saying that most town have a very corrupt way of making sure that you can't do anything to you own property that you would like to.

#1 Twilight will get new books and move the library into the castle.
#2 Presumably Twilight will let Mayor Mare stay in power because she's nice like that.
#3 I doubt Filthy Rich. Or whoever owns the land would ask a brand new Alicorn McPrincess to pay them for the land for fear that she might pull rank and get them in trouble. She wouldn't. But the fear's still there.
#4 Twilight is Celestia's full fledged Alicorn McPrincess star student. There's no way Celestia would sue her.

Um...even though Twilight's castle DOES have a library(as the playset confirms), I think she'll have Golden Oaks rebuild/regrown(as you can guess, she employs Apple Bloom to do most of the work, seeing as how it utilizes both of AB's areas of expertise(botany and carpentry)) for Ponyville's inhabitants to use. She won't be the librarian anymore, though; rather, she'll instead employ somepony else.(I think that Sunset Shimmer(once she comes back to Equestria, that is) would be the perfect choice; since Twilight was the one who got Sunset learning about friendship, it would make sense for Twilight to choose Sunset as her apprentice.)
I think that Twilight putting the new Ponyville public library in her castle is a bad idea for these reasons:
*If the playset is anything to go by...the library in Twilight's castle is located somewhere on the castle's upper levels. Even though Twilight can just teleport herself there, other ponies would need to trek there. If you ask me, it's RIDICULOUS for somepony to trudge all that way up just to borrow a book. And just imagine if they drop their books on the way down(or up if they're going to return the books)!
*This is my primary concern: If Twilight puts a public library in her castle, this will allow ordinary ponies to enter her castle freely. And do you know just WHAT would advantage of ordinary ponies being able to enter castles? CHANGELINGS WOULD! Twilight would NOT allow this to happen because smart enough to know that preventing Changeling invasions is common sense.
*If the new Ponyville public library is in Twilight's castle...WHAT WILL THEY DO WITH THE REMAINS OF THE OLD LIBRARY?!?
Obviously, Twilight couldn't bear to have it torn down...and she most likely couldn't bring herself to have anything OTHER than a new library build there.
It's most logical that she would just have the library rebuilt/regrown.
And finally, rebuilding/regrowing Golden Oaks would be a very nice compromise: Twilight would have her own private library in her castle, and Ponyville's inhabitants would have a public library once more.
These are just my thoughts, though.

I agree with you too. Like I said in the other post on this page. I have dealt with enough government agencies to just let this slide. It is all just a joke, that I couldn't pass up on.
