Why do I keep doing this to myself?I haven't the faintest idea.
You think I'd learn to not do these pain-in-the-butt vectors anymore. But no, I have to do them. Because my brain won't let me not do it.

Heh, yeah. One of my larger objections to her castle is the crystal. After I did a landscape of the crystal empire I decided that crystals will never be done again. Also, you have a bit of the layering messed up with the stairs. The steps are on top of the right post and we can see the tree from under the bottom step.

Though Inkscape's problem with leaving whitespace between snapped strokes is a pain to deal with. But yeah, without snapping we would need to guess or edit the XML and svg XML is a pain. I did that once and never again...

That's where the beauty of exporting comes in. If you download the SVG, you do actually have whitespace in between the shapes all the way up past that diamond in the trunk. But when you export it, it disappears ^.^

I tend to still have them after I export. Admittedly it is a 1 pixel line in an image with a max dimension of 10,000px...but it is there

Admittedly, they don't seem to look that hard into backgrounds. I know that I have found render errors in things months after they were accepted. Some trees off in the distance only had the bottom half of their leaf area with a nice clean line cut across them. I know I have a few errors in my crystal thing, but snapping all those nodes isn't worth the trouble to fix an error you will only see if you look for it really hard and are lucky.

I know a few times they've told me to fix an error and I found another one rather close to it. But still, they are phenomenal at their jobs.

The thing that impresses me the most is how they actually check the colors. I have had to change them before because a cutie mark's color changed a little bit between color guide versions.

I think the only time they check colors is if the color guide recently updated or the colors look visibly off.

I guess that with how many vectors they look at they would be good at noticing the colors. I know that I have been decent at noticing flaws the times I have been really active in vectoring. Right now, not so much.
