I know this is nothing like the movie or comic. But every time I would see this I'd think Tweedledee and Tweedledum. I think it's because of their call; it kind of sounds like it's saying "Twe-di-di-di-".

If you don't know, these are American Goldfinches I made this a few months back. I wanted to make a spring-themed pendant with birds on it. At the time I was temporarily living elsewhere and I couldn't believe how a few miles can influence the kind of birds you see! Gosh I saw soooo many different species of birds I couldn't believe it! I took tons of pictures of all the birds I saw but I don't think I'll post them here. Anyways I felt inspired to make a spring-theme with 'spring birds' and the first pair of birds I thought were goldfinches (With American Robins being close by)

It was meant to be sold but two things happened: Didn't meet my "selling conditions" and I fell in love with it

There's a few problems with this pendant which you might or might not notice (well you can't tell the major issue). It's kind of "loose" It's wearable but you'd have to be extra careful or it might "split in half" sort to speak. It's unfortunate and I'm somewhat sad that I couldn't sell it, but I could always make another I suppose I'm thinking of making a 'made to order' type of deal where you could choose the kind of bird pairs you'd want on the tree. What do you guys think? Should I do it?

Despite the fail, I really enjoyed making it I was so proud of how well I was able to do the birds I kept showing them off to my boyfriend He was done after the first few times but I couldn't help it I've been trying to make the birds somewhat proportional to the trees. I noticed they always looked too big compared to the tree. This was one of the rare times I was able to make them this tiny with that much detail. Though I haven't done much since then and my skills are probably back to being horrible.

I didn't mind keeping this since I really liked the outcome. I actually wear it a lot and don't mind its defects
