Description
In mid sand on the Bondo version, I realized that with Wheeljack's epic mohawk, the damn thing was getting pretty heavy. So I studied the hell out of the helmhats made by my friend Laserbot and made an attempt at my own. I now bow before Laserbot's skillz as making something this intricate out of foam turned out a lot harder then I thought. It is definitely lighter but obviously still missing a face and need to shift the eyebrow thingies up a bit. Also feel free to ignore the multi colored pins holding it together. But to get to the point...need your opinions on this sucker. Should I keep this foam one and start with the vinyl covering nightmare; or do I add counterweights to the back of the bondo helmet to equal out the mohawk and making it even heavier?Related content

I spy with all four eyes something that rhymes with flippin' awesome!
My vote is go with the helmet that is more comfortable to wear. You're in these amazing costumes for several hours at a time so you should enjoy it
I've been hard at work on this year's BotCon costume, so hopefully we can troll each other to pieces in just over 3 months time

I'd definitely go with the foam one, unless you run into some structural reason to use the bondo one instead. The less weight you have on your head the better.

It looks epic. I would go ahead with it. All else fails you can order one from Laserbot as a plan B.

It looks awesome. Sorry I don't have any suggestions on what to change or adjust, but I know you'll figure out something or someone will help.

Don't make it heavier, make it LIGHTER. He has a pretty epic mohawk, I'll give you that!
What about straps at the base of the helmet to the top of your backplate? Loose until you lean forward, that way it won't fall off frontways if you tilt your head forward. Idk, why are you asking me thissss? I'm still an amateur! If anything I should be poking you going SARAH WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

because ya never know who will have a comment that gives me the solution to my problem? I am actually kinda leaning towards keeping the foam version. He's growing on me a bit Might look better once he has color

Most definitely. Go with your gut, I say girl. Whichever's more comfortable, you're gonna be wearing him for a while I'd imagine!
