Rusty my Vault Plane "Rusty" does not approve of me making him look more like the Aircraft in the Wastelands.But anyway this image was suppose to be a bit larger having 2 characters instead of 1, but I hit an inspiration block and a moment of indecisiveness. So it dropped down to just being Rusty, where I decided to play around with more brushes that a good friend gave me.
Adding rust makes Rusty here live up to his name and make him look more wasteland like, though his condition is degenerative so over time as he lives in the Wastes his condition will worsen.

hehehe, his fuel tanks are not on this one because they can be detached. but it's good you can spot the aircraft by just a few points

Yes some aircrafts tend to look alike but they always have some key differences ^^
The only ones I can't see the difference are the Airbus A319 and A320 the A320 has 1 set of window more than the A319 but I can't spot it on first sight since I never know how many they have

maybe you could put him flying over nellis air force base, like the one in Fallout new vegas.

well majority of the Planes in the wastes are unable to fly mainly because of the lack of knowledge people have on repairing them. the ones that make it the the AFB have a better chance but it's still rare to see them flying. their conditions are pretty bad
