Description "The first encounter reports claimed Ki-61s were Bf-109s, Further reports claimed that the new aircraft was an Italian design. which led to the Allied reporting name of "Tony."

Took advantage of this little confusion and Tetsuo volunteered to paint himself to look like a Italian fighter to further confuse the Allies.
Note: Totally forgot to add the propellers on his nose. Oh well too late to fix it.

Didn't Japan get a lot of the design from the Italians (including guns and airframe), due to its mentioned similarity to the Macchi 202 and Messerschmitt 109?

I know where the teeth thing came from.

i love Tetsuo, awesome to see you play off the Tony name (like Japanese can't make pointy noses), again I love your skill with the paint!

I don't know why disguising as an Italian fighter would cause confusion.

Like it says in the description and actual records the Allies primarily the United States War Department first thought this Aircraft was of Italian design, so poking fun at this little Historical mishap. Tetsuo the "Ki-61" paints himself like an Italian fighter to cause confusion. How? The allies wouldn't know whether they're fighting a Italian or a Japanese.
It's quite annoying having to explain something that's practically self-explanatory.

Very nice! Even without the propellers, I like all the other little details you include in your art, especially around the nose and cabin area. And is the wire that stretches along his back for structural support, or is that a radio antenna?

Welp, I'd be scared if I was an Allied aircraft, thinking I was fighting the Japanese and Italians in one place...

Nice work with the paint dripping and all that, looks good.

That's really clever! I'm sure it'd work out! A little paint like that can't be seen at all in the sky!

Although the paint scheme is meant to make others think he's a Italian aircraft like the M.C 202 Folgroe when in reality he's a Japanese aircraft.

You're welcome.
That does make sense. Deception is half of the war. You know Germany spread a rumour over Europe early on in the war that it made planes and tanks out of cheap wood in order to underplay their strength?

Yeah but that would be off topic and I don't really care about that on my submission.

Sorry 'bout that. I'm just giving another example of deception in WW2.
