Description It's less polished than part 1  and contains a few evolutions as well, but here is batch 2 of my Regional Retcon Alternate Forms and Variants proposal, if I was working on the Pokemon Team. I tried to eliminate any that were similar just because they're based on the same animal but sometimes there's only so much you can vary a base. Most should be pretty obvious but some important notes are...

- Volcarona and Frosmoth have a Fire and Ice thing going, even if they don't look terribly similar

- Maractus could easily be a pure grass, grass/psychic, or grass/fairy alternate evolution for Cacnea, if not for Gen 5's mighty need to be disconnected from everything

- I already mentioned the Tauros/Miltank connection that should be formalized, maybe with a shared baby pokemon, but Tauros really should evolve into Bouffalant; Gen 5 strikes again

- These three bears, and their evolutions, look so alike, and it's not just because they're bears; there are other bears like Spinda or Stufful that look pretty different

- Squovet and Patrat are puffy cheek buddies

- I honestly thought Torcoal evolved into Turtunator when I first saw it and I still can't believe they aren't connected somehow

- Luvdisc really should've just evolved into Alomomola so begin with, and maybe even Bruxish now that I'm thinking about it

- Shave a furfrou and it'll look a lot like a Houndoom

- Just like Diancie has a canon connection to Carbink, I think modern Baltoys could have some connection to the ancient Megearna, either humans trying to replicate it or descended from it in some way

- Krookodile and Feraligatr perfectly embody the difference between crocs and gaters

- Just like Taurus and Miltank, Magikarp and Feebas have an almost canon connection, as masculine and feminine variations of the same concept

- Not all early birds are created equal
