Description One more effort in the "Evolution: Putting the Win in Darwin" lineage.

This one is a tessellation of the Jesus fish, dead fish, and the Darwin fish-with-feet.

Notice there's a little predation going on.

my first thought upon seeing it was "awesome, are those fishes made to look like DNA helixes?" even upon closer examination I see them in there.. is it intentional? nevertheless, wonderful symbolic illustration!

Not intentional.
Thanks for pointing that out.

My original sketch was simple Japanese-style brush calligraphy. The picture evolved with the brush-stroke lines becoming more ribbon-like and three-dimensional.

In a future version, I think I'll include your double-helix idea. It shouldawouldacoulda been in this theme!

Well they may be not specifially intended as DNA helixes, but I think it says something about the quality of the artwork when viewers are able to make the mental jump solely based on something that is there to something that is not but can be discovered in the context

That is really clever. I like the shark-ish Darwin fish. Nicely done.
