-Ume isn't very smart, and often rushes into things without thinking almost all the time. While he isn't smart, he is very clever and can trick people with slight of hand or with his silver tongue. While he isn't smart when it comes to the new world type things, he is smart in other ways. He knows how to set traps, and can catch almost any type of fish several types of ways. Living a very sheltered life in the hidden forest village, he didn't get out almost at all. He can't read, and can't write like almost all of his family, but he thinks thats stupid when a lot of things have pictures so why would he need to know how to do things like read or write? Very kindhearted, he wont say no to anyone in need...which also leans into his impetuous nature where he would rush to help someone before thinking about what could happen to him...so he ends up getting hurt a lot.

-History:
-Ume was raised by his uncle when his mother and father died thanks to demons. His uncle always talked about Demon Slayers, and how he should fight any demon he came into contact with no matter what. His uncle wasn't smart about the new world, but taught Ume all he knew about traps, and how to fight...well...as best as he could really mostly this meant tossing Ume out into the woods alone and hoping he could fight his way back. The last time he did this Ume had killed a huge wolf, and his uncle said that was exactly what he wanted him to do since their village always made hoods of different animals...that was a lie and he was terrified Ume would die each time he sent him out, but since he sucked at teaching really that was the only way.
Tanning the hide and making him a wolf hood he told Ume he was ready for the Final Selection, and sent him out again to find the area where the other Demon Slayers would be waiting with his great grandfathers sword that could kill demons...well at least thats what Ume's uncle had been told but it was probably just a normal sword.

-Extra:
-Doesn't understand why people get scared when he pops up behind them.
-Very quiet, and doesn't speak much.
-Has a tendency to stare too long.
-Will ask questions that are often considered rude, but he doesn't know better.
-If a food place doesn't have pictures he refuses to eat there.
-Afraid of lightbulbs.
-Scared of birds, not looking forwards to having one follow him around.
-Don't make him wear sleeves, his shoulders like to breathe. He would go shirtless, but he doesn't want to get too cold.
