Ah, right. The answer to that is quite simple: drama. There's more to this scene, just on an upcoming page. And don't yell at me, I know a few of you are simply swimming in joyous delight behind your computers. That all being said, I was tired of making dialouge.
This was a well planned out plot point, believe me. You have no idea how long I debated putting this in, because it means SO MANY MORE PANELS. Here's the ticket: it doesn't seem like both parties agree with this development. Dash isn't exactly sinking into pleasure up there.
Death by exposition. The best way to go.

And it's an interesting theory you have proposed there, Twilight. But are you willing to accept the burden of fully theorizing it? If it is not a coincidence that the one of your friends for whom you have developed romantic feelings would be the one who develops this terrible affliction, the most likely implication would seem to be that you wished for something to bring the two of you closer, and somehow you got something to answer that wish. It would seem to imply that you caused this. Some ideas are not worth the psychic burden of investigating until you absolutely have to.
