This portrait is special to me. It's the one and only time I absolutly love my subject's hair! haha.Maria's hair in the sketch looks exactly like it did in the reference photograph. Also I was satisfied with her eyes, nose and lips. Something of which is hard for me to be happy with all at once. He was a little tricky for me since I seem to mostly draw females. For some reason I"m always paranoid I'm makeing the guy look as if he's wearing makeup or too girlie.
But it all ended well because "Maria" did see this sketch and she did ask if she could keep it. It was a very flatering moment. Yay!

I love pencil drawings, and this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. NICE detail, especially on the hair. The lines are well defined and the shading brings out their facial contours nicely. Great job!

Awesome drawing! The hair is great, the style moving slightly towards anime, being outlined rather than showing every single detail (Maria). Looks great! The hair (Michael) also looks great, looks very deep and you've used great tone in it! Excellent detail!

This picture is special. I really love it, the expressions on their face look as though they are looking at the camera and yet miles away at the same time. The shading is beautiful and the lines so clean. No matter how many times I see this picture, I have to pause and look at it just that little bit more. Love it!

VERY realistic. The shading and the glow to their young complexion is astounding. And yes, you're right about the hair. It's really nice and fits their facial features perfectly. Their stares make you wonder what they're thinking about or looking at. Wonderful job.
