My first reference sheet of my main character Amandavas ^^This only took me a few weeks and I am hoping to keep the template for my other razorwing characters such as Hexus, Sigma and Sandashan which I am hoping to complete all this year.
I didnt add any of her backstory in because its too much to fit x-x I'll write a little about that here including an explanation of the 'influence' and 'space fractures'
Β Influence is like a force which everything is effected by and it is different on each planet, it has a sort of 'code' which all life follows as far as their physical appearance and attributes are concerned. When the humans started playing with space travel techniques they learned how to open 'fractures' into other planets which saved them travelling the great distances of space to reach habitable planets, but these 'fractures' leaked the influence from the planet it led to effecting the creatures which occupied it. This includes the razorwings, but they were infected in a rather extraordinary way as they are considered 'positive' creatures; ones which have evolved to use the influence to their advantage. The razorwings became intelligent creatures ever since the appearance of these space-fractures.

What is her age in human years? I'm making a dragon ref thingy, and I'm not sure whatΒ to put his age as.

Okay, I had this floating around in my inbox for over two weeks and was to lazy to comment on it, but now is the time!
First of all, I really like the overall design. I really like white dragons in general, more than for examble dragons with green or blue as main color. The icy blue together with the black fit really well together. The thing I like most about her are the wings. I like the whole razor-wing idea in general, but her wings look even cooler than the ones of the other razor wings. The translucent ice blades are really an awesome idea, I love translucent stuff
Her horn and tail design is also pretty neat and in general is the whole body very well balanced.
The reference itself looks also pretty good, although I'd have choosen a less swirly type of letters for the majority of the ref. I personally think that it's more balanced for the overall appearance of a reference to use a simple text style for the majority and use the fancy stuff for captions
And I'd really like to know more about her story, since she seems to be a character with a very moved past ^_^

Oh thank you c: somehow all the ideas just came together and I'm really happy how she turned out given the much shorter design period I had compared to my older characters. She did in fact used to be a lung but I guess many of my characters ended up as razorwings recently due to their fun design to draw XD perhaps I'll keep her lung form and just do a mini ref for it though, we'll see.
Her story is still sorta in development but I have a few pictures in mind which I hope to reveal more about that

You portrayed Canta great and you have put enough information about her on the sheet to understand her very well! She always was like a fog in your gallery- you can see her on your pictures but the viewer never really knew how she really is! (Just saw Xey wrote this too xD So it was really the time to give her a sheet!)
I love the image with her tail where she is throwing away a scale, the idea is awesome! I am happy that I never have to fight agains her
May I ask if you know any animals in our reallife who also have hair growing out of the scales? I really love the idea but I am just wondering if this could be possible, as it is a really interesting idea. I never thought about hair/fur/feathers etc growing out of scales.
Amandavas is definitely one of my fav chars of yours and she has a damn awesome design! I mean- just look at those fucking awesome scaled wings! I bet you are the ONLY artist who designed scaled wings. Or at least I really don't know any others

Thank so much c: yes I did use SAI! I have only recently tried that and I love the smooth lines a lot more than PS, but I cannot figure out how to colour in it yet so I just did all the lines there and coloured/templated everything else in PS. I know she was kinda a strange character for a while, and I still have that old picture of her in her lung form from like years ago XD But I really like the lung form so I will probably do a small reference just for that for her.
Hmm, I am not sure, I was not inspired by any actual living creature for the idea, I just wanted the hair to flow from her wing and decided to draw it from the scales rather than her wing arm as it looked more original. I dont think it would work with feathers though as the rachis (quill) is very thick and would need something deep like skin to grow from, whereas hair is very fine so I think it looks better ^^ either way razorwings dont grow feathers, I dont think they suited somehow. I'm even a little sceptical with the membranes like what Sigma has, possibly he would be the only one with such a thing.

Hmm it would be really interesting, if there is such a phenomenon in nature but I guess not. As for the feathers you are absolutely right, I haven't considered feathers need sth like skin to 'hold' properly.
However, you have had a great idea concerning the hair!

I could easily say that I love absolutely everything about her, but the coolest part for me is the tail. Hell, what. Its just SCREAMING fanart me into my face. The pose is so regal and this wing design still blows my mind. Especially those glass like, icey looking razors look so cool. Its generally good to see so much of your work in my inbox nowadays, I feel almost jealous, that I don't have the time to get things done properly. Also, I really enjoyed reading the text. It's cool to finally have some written information about her, since she has always been some kind of mystery within your character collection. You have to draw her more often D:

Its definitely been my best reference yet though along with Rabia's, and I know I have too many blue coloured ones now but I swear this is the last one XD and I used SAI for the lines, thank you for that

Well I will probably use this reference sheet for a template for my other razorwing characters such as Hexus, Sigma, Za'sha (Sigma's daughter) and Sandashan. I am also hoping to draw ideas for my new wyvern character. And other than that some commissions XD Oh and kicking your ass into gear.
