Description
It has been six years since I did Sigma his last full reference :< This is actually his... twelfth 'version', but his sixth official reference. Sigma is my oldest character dating back to 2009, which makes him 8 <3 And I decided for his eighth birthday to do him a reference, and I also decided to not overly change his appearance other than the necessary traits to integrate him into my razorwing species (so mainly the wings changed).Older refs:
I will be re-doing all of my characters reference sheets in this style/layout as I just havent the time to make those stinking massive ones any more and I'd prefer to actually make some sort of reference at opposed to none at all. Next up, Hexus!

It seems like he was quite an exuberant, self-assured and cocky little bugger when his mate was around, before her death and his subsequent decline. He looks like quite the complicated character in more recent times; I get the impression that he's rather pensive and melancholic (sad and brooding) but nice towards his more recent mate and whoever else his loyalties belongs to.
I really like his new design here, it's simple and quite 'handsome' XD and regal. Powerful too. I like the tall-ish purple crest on him, and the biiig wings. The sharp wings tips gives him a powerful look. I like your explanation of the wing scales producing heat for self-lift and the production of electricity; such a great description of evolutionary structure and function. ^^
It makes me feel nostalgic to look through the older refs. I remember each of them. Makes me feel old.

Yes you hit the nail on the head XD He was rather arrogant and over confident. When his mate died I think he realised how much he actually loved her and saw that he needed to get his act together in a way. I'm rather happy how he turned out as far as his backstory as its all coming together nicely.

Ah. Another interesting version of the great Sigma. He seems even more great than before. Improving characters are nice way to increase your skills either.

Oh Sigma you have come a long way and youve gotten so much more epic and better! He is such a gem <3 I really love this design, i still like the colors of dark purple, blue and black. The species is so cool. I really like the same sort of effect that birdwing has when the feathers overlap and create the shadow, you did that on the wings. I can still see the old Sigmysig in there <3 Very lovely work ^v^

I really like this new redesign of him, the whole mix of the membrane and scales (less pain for the wing drawing part, haha). Go go with Hexus, make Za'sha's ref someday too, I wonder how much stayed from the initial idea back from Spyro days xD

It was, yes ^^ upon one of his scale-hunting sprees, he killed her for her wings and left her 'naked' to die, razorless x-x thank you

Oooh that would be awesome! I have a bunch of art on my list to do, but after Halloween (when BTACD reopens/conceivably when all my BTACD art will be complete) I should be able to work on him/her. I have some ideas, just need to put them down on paper xD
ALSO (maybe Skype would be better for this? that way I'm not filling up your dA inbox xD) I had some questions about using him/her on my forum, if at all possible, could I throw those at you? ^^
