Here is the cover for my book that I am writing as my senior project. If I have time I'll try to color it, but most likely it will stay black and white for a while.THIS TOOK DAYS!!!!! It is one of the first scenes I've ever drawn (I usually do portraits) and it is of one of my favorite scenes. It depicts Scratch scavenging whatever the Drone can find in the rubble of the once beautiful city, and this would be the scene I'd put on every poster if I had to make one. The original scene does not actually contain the backdrop, but because it is for a book and not a movie I added the city, large debris, and towers. The original scene merely shows a barren, grey wasteland of debris and rubble, the towers blurred in the background. I have a poster that I sketched that gives this exact scene, but it is too big to scan
.Hope you guys love it, because this is one of my favorites PERIOD.

First of all, you are always amazing with details. I adore how you shade, it appears that each little detail has it's own depth - which is great. I love that you dedicate so much time and effort into one piece. I really admire you, I wish I could dedicate as much as you do.
I feel as though if you had one more bright light source (perhaps emitting from the bottom left) this piece would have been filled with explosions of amazing. Seriously, bud, you are such a talented artist. I really hope you decide to pursue art one day, because, this is what you excel at. I will be following your art past highschool + and into the real world. I hope you never stop drawing. I keep improving like crazy.

The detail in this drawing--and all of your traditional work, but this one in particular caught my eye--is absolutely stunning. The composition, the shading details, the way in which the title looks part of the sky and the scene itself, is amazing. I can see why this is one of your favourite works and that you are so proud of it. It certainly deserves that recognition and then some.
Honestly, it's just the level of detail put into this that strikes me the most. There's no part of the drawing that is blank, everything comes together to depict this scene and it works extremely well. The overall look I think is very fitting for a book cover as well; I could definitely picture it being used in that way for your writing, and just by seeing this picture alone (as well as looking at the rest of your gallery) it makes me want to find out more about this scene, the character and the world involved in it. I think this definitely succeeds in making people want to read what you've written for this particular story.
I could go on for paragraphs about this sort of thing but I'm rambling already. 
After taking a look through your gallery and works concerning the Formics, I wonder why I haven't watched you already.
