Understone wasn't what the Bard expected. While true it was a haven for all those whose minds weren't yet lost, there was no heroism or magnificence to it. There was no community to be seen. Men and women and children kept to themselves, spoke very little, and merely wept under their own clouds of turmoil. They all had their own horror stories to tell; the Bard was just another statistic. They weren't bothered when he hunkered down in an empty room, leaving him to himself like so many people before him.
