: ) Did it cuz I was bored and told me to ^-^It's a Photoshop tutorial, but I'm sure other programs work similarly
I know there's a lot of spelling errors, it's because I was typing in a miniscule font and later enlarged it and flattened it, and am too lazy to correct them. It's still legible x)
Also I didn't mention too much but it's kinda important to use a sketch layer first, on this tut I winged it and you can see the rocks don't look very real or natural. ( also sometimes a good idea to use references ) But hey, it's the process that counts
Took about 3 hours to do, about an hour just for the rocks
I use Photoshop Elements 3.0

haha, I cringe a little inside each time I get a favorite for it because I know I could teach it so much better now. But atleast maybe it's still helping people

Not bad... I tried it out with some rocks I'm doing in a storm scene (backgrounds, always need tutorials) they don't look half bad, even with the small amount of detail i've put on them.

This tutorial ROCKS!! Not too complicated, which is a godsend for a impatient soul like me, and the result is actually beautiful! With this, I have made my first rocks that actually look like rocks! (I know, I know, it's wild, isn't it?) Thanks so much, ShadowKiwi! You rock! ^^

Yeah I like those too xP But I hate the ones that are like open this window and set it to 3235 and this other one see it here but i know you cant find it anyways set it to this and draw a speck then go to effects and.... to 3499 and work at it a little more than its done... wala

xDDD Yeah, mostly I just whip it up with not too many tricks.. it was actually until about 2 years ago that I never used guideshapes of any kind. it needent be perfect or complicated... In my opinion xD I assume most normal people just um draw it <_<

Same here and I used to like press down on the pencil so friggen hard and go "WHY WONT YOU ERASE?!! AHHHH" I always hate reading tutorials where people dont use lineart and it looks so perfect and crisp, how do they do it!? XD I wish I could just draw it v_v
