The stamp says it all, "Love should never hurt, be a hero stop abuse". Domestic violence is something that crosses all financial strata, race, gender, religion, or even age. It is hard to be in that type of situation and be strong enough to get out. Abuse isn't just about the victim and the abuser, it effects the children, other family members and even your friends. To get out of a situation like this takes so much inner strength. That individual is a hero, whether they realize it or not. They save others from going through the same fate. Helping someone be able to leave this dangerous situation, is also very heroic. So is calling the police if you hear it going on. Please get help, you are never alone.Check your local areas for shelters, support and help legally so that this might never happen again. Talk to a friend, teacher, clergy, family they can be there for you.

I JUST got out of a relationship last Monday. My boyfriend decided that it was ok to threaten my life and try to choke me... I'm safe and well, my college has taken action to move me, I've taken a few legal precautions sans restraining order (because the judge feels the events that happened weren't enough evidence) and my friends are supportive of me. If he ever comes near me again he will be arrested.
For anyone that reads this, I realized this almost too late because it is true to be blinded by love. I was even thinking of marrying the guy once we graduated college.
If you're in a relationship and that person tries to keep you away from people. Won't listen when you say no, constantly tries to contact you when you need peace for whatever reason... Says hurtful things to you for any little reason... Lashes out at you whenever they're angry... No one should ever work so hard to be in a relationship. No one should work so hard just to be happy. If you have to even ASK yourself if that person makes you happy, you may not really be happy with them.
I almost learned the hard way and got out in time. May all be safe and remember to love yourself first. Good luck to everyone.

I agree completely. Love shouldn't hurt, not even emotionally! I mean really, heartbrakers and "players" straight up suck. They shouldn't get any attention.
