Thanks to this I learned something new today. I'd never heard of an Amur Tiger. I'd only heard of the Leopard

I had never heard about them until I moved to where I am now. Having a new zoo, exposed me to all sorts of new creatures. I am very lucky.
To the best of my knowledge, there are seven different types of tigers living right now. Two additional ones are extinct. It is really neat to see how different each one is from the other in both size and colors.
We have Amur Leopards here too, I have a couple of them up in my gallery. Really strange cats, the ones we have look like someone dipped parts of them in bleach. The rest of them have the rich tawny and spots. Too cool. Thanks for the comment.

I'm in Toronto and our zoo is pretty cool. They have over 5000 animals. Some which you can see in my zoo gallery.
The last time i went to the zoo was Nov 11. It was a pretty cool day. Our zoo is huge. So you go from pavilion to pavilion. This makes getting great shots a little more challenging. When you go from inside to out or outside to inside the change in temperature can cause condensation inside the lens. It did on my glasses. Anyhow, I did get some decent shots.

I have had that same problem. I find if I very carefully put my camera including lens inside my coat as I go from outside to inside. It helps a bit. So does having a UV filter on the lens itself.
I am going ot have to take a look at your zoo shots when I get a little time. They sound fun.

You are lucky. For me my typical set up wit the lens and camera is about 6 inches wide and 18 inches long so pockets are way out of the question. lol. It is pretty heavy to lug around too.

I saw some guys at the zoo with kits like that. They were stalking an eagle.

Lol.Yeah it was. The tigers and the servals were both out, but most of the other cats were back in their warm rooms instead of the habitats. I could hear the snow leopard talking but I didn't have time to go see her this trip.
