Description

Cesar got closer to the enemy robot and took a look at it. Its weapon seemed to be a scaled up assault rifle, with a box magazine. Due to the length of the barrel, Cesar deduced the weapon had a long range. And due to the small explosions caused by its projectiles when they hit a wall, the weapon used explosive ammo, just like its bolter.

That could put him on a disadvantage. However, his bolter had a larger caliber and its projectiles caused more damage, since they were designed to penetrate before exploding. Also, his enemy was a robot, while Cesar was an experienced Space Marine, who had fought against many types of enemies.

In that moment, the robot spotted Cesar and turned to aim him. The Space Marine saw that its movements were not as fluid as his, partially due to its large feet. Cesar realized those feet were to give the robot stability while traversing the terrain and firing its weapon.

A quick plan formed in Cesar’s mind. First, he ran to get close to his target and negate the range advantage of the robot. Then, he aimed at the robot’s weapon and fired a quick burst. His aim was true and the weapon was so damaged it could no longer be used. Then, Cesar aimed at the torso of the robot, where its power source would be located. His hunch was right and, with an explosion, the robot fell to the ground.
