Description
I realized that I never posted the bookmarks that I sold at the Anime Banzai Convention this year. This image was made with Pegasuscrystal39 in mind, as she brings out the best and worst (which is of course, still the best) of Syndrome through her work.
Oh, and while I'm thinking about it: Happy Synlet Month! *grins and cheers*
Also, I was going to use another quote for this image, a la, "Fear is a growth industry, and business is booming." However, I realized that the phrase was copyrighted and therefor out of bounds. *helpless shrug*
PLEASE DO NOT USE WITHOUT PERMISSION!

I drew Syndrome on a sticky note in art class while we were watching Bob Ross.

That's the best place for him to appear--on any readily available surface, at any time (and especially during the middle of class). ^^

All I can think now is 'he used to be a villian chillin, now he's like a cure so just call him penicillin...'

XD I know that! Where in the world do I know that from? But I suppose the description applies--particularly after being sucked into the jet engine. The literal take on the situation would require some doctoring afterward...
*goes off on a thought tangent*

That would be the slightly-cringey Megamind rap fro a commercial (I used a bit of it in my review )

AMAZING. I'm glad that you think I'm good at writing him and stuff. Oddly he's easier for me to write than Violet even though I feel like an invisible teenager most of the time. Hmm.
I'm curious as to what you mean by the best and the worst, though. XD

Oh yes, yes. *nods firmly* You and one other (Crazed Fuzzle. ) write him the best, I think. And I guess it's like drawing them--for a long while Syndrome was way easier to draw for me, rather than Violet.[link] But now that's kinda switched...
Really, I hate to say it, but he's honestly the more interesting character out of the two from the movie. But thankfully that leaves for plenty of development on her part.
I think that's unfortunately part of every teenager's experience. Le sigh. *pats Pegasus on the shoulder* In time this too shall pass. *nods sagely*
Best as in sarcasm and reluctant heroism. Worse as even more sarcasm, and mischievous, malicious diabolical evil. Which equates to epicness.

Thanks! He's always been easier to draw for me, but that's just because I can never get a consistent shape for Violet's head.
I think he's just really fun to play. I guess I like writing him because it's not the same old deal that every teenager goes through, although Ultraviolet could hardly be called that either. XD
I do love making him play the reluctant hero! He does it so well! XD It's almost like he plays himself sometimes.
Speaking of, he got a message from another Violet on Facebook-one that didn't know he was alive- and he's asking if he should friend her. XD

-__-* Because her stupid face is always covered by hair. Grr. *shakes fist at her egg-shaped head*
Hey, I think it still applies. After all, he really is just a big, petulant overgrown teenager, living out his comic-book dream of anti-heroism. Seriously. *nods thoughtfully* You've got him right on the money. Because even as an adult in Ultraviolet that trait lingers (the same way in my head I think of myself, still as only being about 18-20. Not twenty-three. -__- Man, I'm getting old for fanart...)
He really does! In fact, it kind of reminds me of Artemis Fowl in a way. O__o! Which for some reason made me think that it would be cool to draw a Billionaire's Convention portrait: Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, Seto Kaiba, Buddy Pine, and David Xanatos. Oh, yeah! Anyway...
*laughs* I was wondering who that Violet was. So is it just someone else roleplaying, or that friend of yours from twitter? Because if it's the former then that's just plain hilarious. *laughs*

Yeah, her head is stupid. D:
Well, I'm glad you think so! He does act pretty teenager-ish. Maybe it's because he lost his teenagehood to his obsessions? Ohhhhh, I think I'm going somewhere with this. XD
Oh, man. Artemis Fowl is amazing. XD
Actually, they're both. One is someone else roleplaying and one is the friend. XD

Yeah, it kind of is. *laughs* The best reference that I've found has been in the extra features where she doesn't even have any hair, ironically. And then she looks kind of...androgynous. -__-;;
*laughs* That actually makes sense, strangely enough. And I think you should TOTALLY go with it.
Yes, yes he is. He is totally The Man. For being, you know, a boy. XD
*laughs* Now that's a funny coincidence.
