I think this picture is wonderful. Extremely beautiful! I don't see why you're unsure about it. The bottom of the picture seems to bge a bit motion-burred though - it may just be my eyes. You see, I'll be getting my glasses in about a week. *sigh*

The blur is exactly why I hesitated to post it... I'm glad you like it nevertheless.

Dancing is about form, and movement, and lines. The essence of that is captured, though I confess I really don't like the picture in general (the colors and shapes just don't appeal to me).
You chose an interesting moment to snap - the composition is unique.

I thought this was a painting, too. At first.
The soft colours and slight blur add to the dream-like/surreal feel of it.
The tight shot allows the blanket(?) to act as a great frame for the dancer's featureless face.
Very symbolic. Very nice.

Thank you very much!! I liked it because of the dancer's featureless face... It was the way the costume was made.

Dancing with another brings us so close to them that their particular features seem to be forgotten. Your dancer's face is effaced by the movements of her rhythmic body. But although the colors breed life, there is a certain tragedy in her lost look. Her grasp only brings her to herself. She dances alone, unless she is dancing with you dancing with your camera up close with her. But if so, still you do not touch for your camera must remain at a distance.

That's a very beautiful comment! Thank you! Actually, I don't even know the dancer... She was dancing along side two others (so she wasn't alone), but her movements were the most "magical" and flowing of the three. I was about 5 meters away from her, but I used my zoom lense.

I really glad you like it that much! Wow! Unfortunately, I don't have a print account. I'm thinking about it, but I'm still undecided whether I should get one. There's also the fact that I don't have the money at the moment...

hmmm.. if you had a print account would you be able to render your images suitable for large prints?

The originals are much bigger than what I post here... (I have a 6.3 megapixel camera) So, yes I would be able to submit images suitable for large prints...

it looks really neat. I love the colours and shades. The only problem is it's a little hard to tell what it is at first because it's so close, but it also adds to the effect.
