A modern dancer at Wintercity Toronto.My mom really likes this one, so I've decided to post it. I beg of you to tell me what you really think of this. I'm extremely unsure about posting this, so CRITIQUE AND COMMENTS ARE EXTREMELY WELCOME!

I like it now... it's just that I rarely like my photos right after I've taken them. I don't know why, that's just the way I am.

I think you should be proud of this picture, I don't know why you don't appreciate it much but I love the color and the costume, and better so, the way you captured the dancer, so close but at the same time enough to have a very nice big picture, I thought it was a statue in thumb but I like it more to see there's a living person there, I love it

What made you not like it at first? I'm just curious because it takes me a while to like my art too, even the ones that everybody else loves.
The photo is captivating. The colors are so serene. The picture itself has a swirl created by her arms and the cloth--this drew my eyes to it right away. And the way her head and arms are covered by transparent cloth gives it a mysterious touch.

I almost never like any of my art at first. I will often look at a photoshoot right after having taken it and be really dissapointed. Luckily, my mother also always looks at my photos. She will often point out to me the ones that really strike her and that she likes. I wonder all the time how I missed them at first.

Hi, Christine... I really like this one, and I think that the opaque-like facial stocking makes this really engaging in a way that it might not have carried had the features been easily visible. I think that your capture of this in motion, along with the color choices in the design, really make this wonderful to look upon. If I had to nitpick anything against it, I would argue that I wish there was more of the picture to be seen, in that -- it seems too tightly cropped for my tastes, especially since the subject has since drawn my eyes in, and I want to be able to look around and see more of this scene, only to find I can not..
if that makes any sense... otherwise, I think it's really fantastic!

Very interesting photo, Shalora, the only thing that somewhat bothers me is the shadow coming from her face (not on her face, but behind her head). It seems to constantly attract my attention. Oh well, perhaps it is just me who is rather strange...
