Description
The PredatorI am no cute puss. I am a tough, aggressive and dominant feral cat. If you are a human or another cat, don’t even try to get close to me: I am bad tempered, I hiss and the food is all mine… the rest of the colony doesn’t stand a chance!
---
p.s. I placed this photo under the "wild" animals category because though cats are usually domesticated, this animal was born and grew up in the wild. This is in no way a domesticated animal and should not be placed into that category.
Thank you so much to ~sassy-alley-cat and ©suzi9mm for the DD!

Why is this in "domesticated animals" if it's a wild cat?

Because "domesticated cat" is an oxymoron.

EXACTLY! I got a very dry message from an gallery moderator about two years ago with a link to Wikipedia about the domestication of cats and how this had to be in "domesticated animals". It still irks me. :/

You captured the essence of cat; his gaze is mesmerising, menacing, like his body language.
His ears aren't facing away, though, so he must be curious here.

he looks like a total bad ass! his pose, expression, and especially the intensity of his eyes just scream"You are going to be my dinner!" I feel bad for his prey! They don't stand a chance!

that's a very awesome cat shot right there. one of the few on here that i actually like. you really captured the predator-held-captive-by-domestication of the cat. the color is really sharp, especially in the eyes. the pose is what astounds me the most. how the heck did you get your cat to stay so still? great shot.

Thank you very much! Actually, she's not my cat and she's not anyone else's for that matter. She was born and raised in the wild and is the leader (an meanest) of a colony of feral cats that live behind the house of a friend of my family's. Here, she was glaring at me, decinding whether I was worth attacking or if I was too big and straong for her. She decided I was the later and left. I'm glad you like the photo!
